The Nike GX is a cool concept, but ultimately a boot that I think most people will ignore due to the fact that most consumers know little to nothing about the 1997 Nike Air GX, including myself, and $300 is too expensive. They're solid cleats for sure, but I'm not sure who they appeal to. If you're planning on getting these, buy them to wear or for your personal collection. This is not a limited edition release that I would expect to go up in value. Thanks for watching!

Nike really went all in on the soccer market from a near anonymous position. The gx was the opening salvo of Nike's intent. A year later (Original) Ronaldo wore Mercurials in that oh so wierd 98 world cup final. Never trusted synthetic uppers from that day on. Lol!
Wish they did a remake Awesome but the Tiempo's 9 Elite MI are still nice. The box is nice too, only got a elite box for the Tiempo 9 MI #montebelluna 🇮🇹

When the GX IIs came out I remember one kid got the high end model but other than that everyone wore Preds, or Umbro, Mizuno etc. I am willing to bet the reason thet didn't scratch off the Hypervenom name off the soleplate is because how expensive it is produce a new sole plate. When a new style is created one of the most expensive parts of creating the product is creating a new last and soleplate. That's why companies will use the same soleplate over and over again.

Just ordered a pair of these beauties and was disappointed when they arrived in regular box and they were made in Bosnia!?!? This is in complete contradiction to the press release and marketing that they were made in Italy at the Montebelluna factory. When I contacted Nike , they were indifferent to my disappointment nor did they offer any explanations!!! Any insights on this huge discrepancy?

It's also interesting to note that the sales of limited edition boots are slowing down quite a lot. The market is becoming quite saturated. It doesn't help that many people don't remember the GX model all that much either.
I just think that people don't remember this boot, a lot of people don't like the way they look and they're too expensive. Nike recently released the Limited Flyknit Ultra and those sold out instantly. There are definitely more limited edition releases than there used to be, but if people think they're cool, they'll sell out. These just weren't very well received.

I've played in these for the last 2 weeks. What a waste of material... No sense to build up a boot in leather if it doesn't let you feel the ball on your feet. No advantages of synthetic or knit, no padding and touch from leather. Waste of money. Rip them and ask for the guarrantee, best you can do, get your money back...

They're both comfortable. They offer a much different overall feel though. Comfort is very much based around personal preference.

If you can get the Nike Tiempo Legacy III for sale that would be your best option in my opinion.
The Tiempo Legacy 3 is worth a look.

I played in these. Wide fitting, bad performing cleat. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
