1977. This was a really big hit for this group. I enjoyed it then - and still do!

Sometimes people don't appreciate what they have until they lose it. And don't realize that they are likely lost to them forever. Thank you for reacting.

This is 1977. I was a young teenager at the time. Great time to be alive.

The high pitch you're referring to is called a falsetto. There are a lot of artists in the70's which are good at it like Peter Beckett of Player, Barry Gibb of Bee Gees, David Pack of Ambrosia and the list goes on. I guess it's the in thing among bands during that era.

Great classic. This was Player’s only hit song. They put out a few albums, but their style and sound is completely different from this song.

The stuff your talking about in songs are little trinkets that make an okay song good. This song has a few...listen baby..yea. That high note little additions are what most people unconsciously hear and some people really focus on and that makes the song great. Some bands when editing leave in mistakes on purpose (led zepplin, Jimmy Page was one of them). Those nuisances make the song for me and I don't think I'm alone. Your stumbling over your words will get better as you go on and begin to relax. Nice reaction young man!

Player is a slang word that didn't exist in 1977. A man might be called a Casanova or a Lothario or a ladies man or a playboy.

A lot of radio listeners thought it was Hall & Oates.

To much talking, we’re here for a music reaction, not a counseling session. Lol
