damn, that switch to line of sight when your VTX cut out was sick!! making me think I should practice taking off goggles mid flight in case of something like this. Your response was on point, no idea why that happened tho
As a skateboarder of 20+ years, I would say I have a very quick reaction time. I am awful without goggles and surprised myself with this one. I find and recommend flying it facing away from you at first as the controls are inverted when flying towards you, and super difficult that way!
@@AsgardStudios I’ve just upgraded to digital in this quad, this week, after FPVdronefest uk… yeah, I now see the difference with trying things like trippy spin - gravity is less forgiving!
I see my comment has made it to your video hahaha (3rd one). To be fair to the redditters, although some of them were way too harsh with their words, you know they were talking about your 158g Hero 9 black GoPro and not that one (which I guess is a 74g Hero 5 session). I noticed the wobbles you mentioned in your Reddit post are still there on your flights with GoPro. On the non GoPro flights I couldn’t tell if they were just gone or greatly attenuated (due to DVR image quality I guess?). Is PID tuning something you investigated since then? I wouldn't listen to the people saying you need to get a 5" when you can have all you need in a well tuned 3.5" :) BTW I really liked your 10 tips video. Glad I stumbled upon that Reddit post of yours.

I have a Crux35 as well and am also seeing the mid flight VTX channel change, also from 8 to 5. It must be something in the VTX. Lately I’ve been using Raceband 1 and haven’t experienced the mid flight channel change. It does sometimes change channels on startup, it will say it’s on channel 1 but will send on channel 3 or 5 for instance. If I restart the drone once or twice it will start on channel 1 and stay there. Nice save with the angle mode!
Ah interesting. I have reloaded the firmware and LUA code and it still does it. I put mine down to landing in a tyre that had water in it. I have it conformal coated now! Thanks for letting me know. My fav pre build for sure, I just upgraded mine to Caddx Vista Polar, and it still gets about 10 mins flying!!!
Yeah, I don't know where all those opinions come from, people saying crux35 is robust. The frame is sheit. My second time out - 3rd crash (from like 5 meters, on grass) and the arm broke off. Happy to see it works well with the volador frame, which I just ordered ;)

I absolutely love my Crux35, which this is with a new frame. Good battery life, fairly rapid and very affordable. I have crashed mine and accidentally put it through tyre water and it still goes!
