  • She calls them #BrownLiveGold !! meet Roseanne Mwangi, a serial agri-preneur catching the early worms with her Black soldier fly venture. She believes in creating a sustainable and circular economy.
Here is how she does it..….She processes cut potatoes’ for the hotel industry - The peelings are used as feed for the black soldier fly-- The fly larvae are rich in protein which she uses to feed her pigs and can feed poultry and fish---The waste from the larvae feed becomes organic manure for our farms. ... and how could I forget. The Pork, Fish, and poultry land on your plate!!!
How more circular can one get? Bravo!

The fact that no matter how different two people’s skin colors, they can interbreed and produce fertile offsprings is the scientific proof that all human are the same specie. There are wealthy people here who pay to have horse manure removed every year from their farms. We are looking at raising small larvae and using them in the summer to reduce the pile instead of removing it. Do you think this is possible? Thanks so much!- Andrew

I think that it might be a good idea to raise bugs if one is going to feed them to chickens, but pigs eat a huge amount of food. I have heard of people raising crickets to feed chickens, and is "sustainable," as in that it is using something one grows to feed them, costs very little except one's labor. In the US is it usually crickets grown to feed farm animals, usually just chickens.

Hello Roseanne. Congrats for your work. I would like to know the following:
How many flies can lay 1 g of eggs?
Cage dimensions to have a colony that lays at least 1 g of eggs?
Thanks in advance for your help!
