Thank you for saying the time you took, clients bring in pics from instagram or wherever and get impatient if you spend more than two hours,or it costs more than 200$.
Couldn't have said that better girl! I have came to the conclusion that if they want to go to someone who can have their color done in an hour and a 1/2 start to finish styled and everything then they can go for it but more than likely it will not come out the way they want. I myself can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to color but I have decided that it has a luxury and if they don't want to pay it that's OK someone else will!
Me t👀🫶 Can never get hair salons to give me the colour I want So Thanks for this video.. taking it with me to my next hair appointment so they will know what I’m hoping for. Wish me luck 😉🫶 @@KenraProfessional
So absolutely gorgeous 😁 the color melts so beautifully with her skin tone and makes her look even more vibrant. I’d love to be able to find someone that could match my correct tone the same way. I don’t know what would suit me as my hair is very ash but leans warm once it’s been bleached by the sun. Been growing my virgin hair out for the past three years and finally cut all previous color out and just waiting till I figure out what would actually suit me
Are you located in Tampa fl, or somewhere that you know uses these products. Can’t seem to find a good colorist person. Love the results and hair cut.👍🥰
I feel like she needed more lighteness by her face. It kind of looks like a grown out highlight. Not that I could do any better, but i feel like something is missing.
The toner made her look orange, this could have been toned using a different deposit chemistry, you may as well just have just used raw bleach if you were going to tone it back down to an orange. This poor girls hair was ruined by that orange hue. Good application technique, terrible choice for toner, I give this a F- as this doesn't even look toned, it looks bleached with some quick white from Sally Beauty Supply... Huge tip for the colorist, for people of color, ORANGE is not safe, its insulting...
Some people of color request these tones. An important tip is that as colorists we also have to consider the desires of our clients. Just because we don’t like something doesn’t mean we don’t give it to them. My model loved this tone and I believe she wears it well❤
@@MirellaManelli She probably told you that cuz you sold it to her, I am a colorist myself and I feel this is gaslighting (over used term here but it fits); this is a COMMON problem, orange when going root to tip will LITERALLY match the color of skin to where you don't know where skin ends and the coloring begins. There are other colors that would have fit this model well. As mentioned your lighteneing technique is A1, but your toner in this video was EXTREMELY poor. I don't know who at Kendra is saying that orange needs to go to pocs and cool tones don't belong on them, but from experience, that is not that case, and its bad docterine. I can send you threads and a million examples of POC's WITHOUT orange hair, rocking it better than Beyonce. I am disappointed in Kenra for letting this video be published as most of other videos I have seen, the work is impecable. YOU NEED to review your practices and GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD old doctrine that says, "only orange tones for POC'S," times have changed, Kenra educational professionals need to realize this and so do the stylists; instead of doubling down and doing a "everyone else is at fault but me, I know what I am doing," routine, stylists need to learn and take and receive feedback from professionals that WORK with POCS EVERYDAY. Again ORANGE IS NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER OKAY; that toner choice on skin tones like hers and mine is objectionably ugly and you need to hold yourself to a better standard if you are to rep the Kenra name... Key learning moment from all this: STOP TONING US ORANGE.
@@philipdelagarza8039 I will not be accused of “gaslighting” and you are 100% wrong in your statements. You were not there for the consultation, my model is a hairstylist herself, and she personally chose this tone. With that said, you are well in your right to have the opinion that you don’t like the shade chosen. I don’t expect everyone to like the work or color choice. I created the video for educational purposes. It is not anyone’s intention to say that “cool tones don’t belong” on people of color because that’s who I primarily work on. 8NUA runs like water in my salon. Have your opinion and scroll along. This video is clearly not for you and I’m 100% ok with that.
Since her hair lifted to a 8(light blonde, depending on hair color line) as it decolorized, why didn't you use an 8Ua acidic demi permanent to tone the yellow orange undertone? Unless, you and the client just really wanted to do that color melt thing with the rose violet rapid toner. Then, if that's the case, I'm cool with the artistic expression. Since I'm a cosmo student, I just needed clarification on the reason behind the 5ua, because it seemed like back tracking. Great application!
I love this transformation! So beautiful! Great content!
