I'm just blown away by how good Kami Band sounds here. And there's Mikio, always smiling. RIP Ko-Gami. Unquestionably the highlight for me though is Su taking out her in-ear monitor during the audience participation segment so she can hear the crowd. Anyone who's ever performed loud music on a stage knows how tricky it is to maintain rhythm and key without monitors, doubly so for vocalists who often require one in each ear. Su uses that first unsteady "woah" to find the key... she finds it on the second... and then the crowd joins in... and then the downpour starts... and then the refrain kicks in... and suddenly there's a moment of pure, unscripted live BM performance magic captured in time that can never be duplicated or possibly even matched as Su absolutely crushes the rest of the song behind a curtain of rain with a single monitor. Yui and Moa are always a joy to watch, but Su really stands out more so than usual here... it almost feels like it doesn't matter who she's on stage with, Suzuka Nakamoto was born to do this. And if you don't believe in fate, that's cool, but if you disagree with me then I'm sorry, but you're just wrong. I'm sure the rain sucked for Kami and their techs, Moa and Yui, and possibly even the crowd that day but for those of us watching this right here and right now... it's perfect in every way.
su's breath control is amazing, imagine jumping and dancing for 2+ hours and be able to belt that well???? shes INSANE, and was like 18 there. the crowd was so nice too and even though there was rain everyone gave it their best! trully one of the best performances ive seen EVER
Amazing clarity, the heavy rain was no joke, some portion of front stage was wet, the dancers got on the floor with no hesitation! Musicians had to cover their gears with plastic tarp, they also put small fans pointing upwards, to dry the gears many be? Security offers on the front, video camera crews all put raincoats on, but majority of audience just danced around without any concerns. What a party 🥳
I have watched this dozens and dozens of times. One of my favorite performances, by anyone, ever. Beyond iconic. Happy Birthday Suzuka, we're so glad you are back!
