i feel like out of the numerous historical dramas i've watched, they have the "healthiest" relationship so far. He's just always try to let her do whatever she wants to do, and she always try to share his burden. Even in the face of wicked people threatening to hurt their relationship by spreading lies, they managed to fact check first before going into conclusion. Unlike some other dramas where the couples ended up having cold war or whatever.
The cutest scene, and one of my faves alongside the force-feeding kiss and the jealous eye-roll scenes. He did shut the curtains, and we all know she is going to "get it" for being such a supportive little wifey, even if she is pretending to push his head away, lol. I am so in love with this man!
I'm glad Zhang Ziyi choosed this drama.It's a great drama with beautiful story.Everyone who casted in this drama played so good. I recommend everyone to watch this...👍👍❤️💓

I love this actor, his performances are everything a woman could want. The expression on his face and his gaze are fascinating. I saw it at Judge Di and was fascinated. I hope that in real life he is just as tender, loving and an innate defender.❤
After watching hundreds of Asian dramas both modern and historical, this drama still stands alone as epic and a masterpiece of all time in every way…actors, actresses, storyline, cinematography, music!! I keep coming back to it after over a year of first watching it! ❤️

This two great actors portrays their roles very well along with the cast. No such thing as flowerboys ml who cares with their looks rather than with their acts and no fl who always wait for their night shining armor who will saved them everytime in a slow mo and whine the whole series.This one is a perfect couple.The general suits Xiao Qi very well,with angts and domineering loving personality who you could ask for.A General who fought for their country for soo long should have look ruggedly handsome like this not pretty boys whom titled as General because they are the ml

Just like you, I'm tired watching new Chinese dramas played by young actors/actresses, their acting are very common,nothing special.

Completely disagree. I honestly wouldnt have it any other way as this drama took a very refreshing approach to asian/chinese dramas in all aspects. For one, it’s free of of freakishly V-faced women- young yes- but no substance nor acting depth. Most definitely loving it that no men who look like women are in this series. Zhou yi wei is a redemption of men’s image in the asian entertainment industry. They dont have to look like boyband members. As a mature audience, I would like to see mature and seasoned actors act out a good script. FYI, zhang ziyi did not produce this series.

Just started watching this drama and it has become one of my favorites. Something about a mature cast just hits right with historical dramas.
