The round cylindrical object with a "T" handle was a chemical fire extinguisher. Used on steam powered trains, probably carried on a clip on the side wall of a tender car. For extinguishing a fire which might start up in the coal bunker of a tender car. Once used up, the brakeman or fire man, ( the one who shoveled coal into the firebox on a steam locomotive) would throw it over the side to be rid of. At the time these were used, railroads found them cheap to buy rather than keeping them to reload them.

Tyler, that gas cap is from like 40's and 50's car when they put the gas cap right on the rear fender. Before they started putting gas caps behind rear fenders door covers and license plates. Removed many of them in my younger gas pumping days!

Tyler, if the RR PLATES are going for about $30, you could clean them on a wire wheel and grinder and sell them, would bring more cash to hand than a few bucks in scrap.

    Hey Tyler.
@ 10:00 I'd bet you anything that drill bit was used to put the holes into those railroad bridge bents for those huge bolts you find.
    @ 15:51 love that wrench.
Every fall there is a huge nationwide model railroad show in Milwaukee. It's called Trainfest. I bet you could clean-up all that railroad stuff and get a vendor table at the show and sell stuff. You could probably sell the spikes for a buck apiece and the tie plates for 5 apiece. I wouldnt be surprised if you got 20-30 for that wrench. You'd easily make your table price back.

  • @davidturk6170

    • @countyseatadventures

ABSOLUTELY, you can mag fish without a boat!!! 😉 Most folks don't even use a boat...they toss off docks n bridges. 😊 There's COUNTLESS mag fishing videos to watch n I'd venture to guess upwards of 95% of mag fishers don't have a boat. ☺️
