Love the sound of bells in code 3
Jhhhhbhkokkiiikkkkkkjkjjjjjjmmmmmnnjjjjnmmmnnhjkkmmnjjjjjjjjnjjjjjlljkkmmnnnnnnnnfhnnnnnnnnnnnnmm
Bells sound so much cooler than horns IMO. Especially in Code 3.
Have now stayed twice more since this video & got great sleeps! No more false alarms. I love this place, overlooking the water!
Ah, Canada loves their bells
NJMoo3652 If there are only bells and no strobes, what will deaf people do? Strobes are meant to alert deaf people that the alarms are going off, and if there are no strobes, how will deaf people react? I suppose friends or other people could wake them up, but still... you get my point.
But in many cases there are only bells. I'm not quite sure if Canada has ADA or in this case CDA requirements otherwise the bells would be mounted on strobe plates
+NJMoo3652 Newer buildings do have strobes. The old buildings are grandfathered and are not required to retrofit the strobes. Similar to when Canada moved to the international "running man" exit signs, existing buildings do not have to be updated.
It all depends on the age of the building and the contractors who install and choose the fire alarm system. All Alarms installed after 95 must be programmed sound in code-3/temporal which is what this is. I think the panels that do voice evacuation may be given exceptions to this but regardless of horn/bell, chime, and so on they must sound in this same pattern
My school in Vancouver does not use that pattern it’s just constant there’s no stops in the pattern and it was put in in 2008
Thats cool that the hotel uses bells
This reminds of ringing the trolley car bell that I work on!
Wow what an experience that must have been a bell. Those are really loud. Good way to call ya to the breakfast table lol lol lol
The fire alarm sounds like the one at the mall when there was a bomb threat in 2015 and everyone had to evacuate the mall it was scary at the time for me .
Merry Christmas there in Vancouver
Many buildings have triple ringing bells, including my apartment building. I think that it is probably better to have them in enclosed hallways than klaxons, as they aren't as loud
Those bells are loud though , what do you mean they are not as loud , my relatives agrees that it is really really loud
"Where's the stairs" Turns camera around and skips the exit sign
The door that says alarm will sound doesnt sound alarm when he opens it also
I know I'm late with this reply the reason the alarm didn't sound was because it meant the fire alarm which was already activated
By just looking at the bells, I would say that they’re edwards mb10-24s.
I prefer these bells over ear-raping new horns !
that's the point, they're supposed to be ear-raping horns and flashy strobes.
The bells sounds nice
This was 10 years ago today. I remember watching this in 2013
@@BlueThunderboltsiren wow time flies I still remember watching this when I was younger
Lovely fire bell! 🛎
I think these alarms are a Mircom Bl-10B and a Notifier/System Sensor KMS-10-24A
My sister and I spent a week there last year. We loved the location, and we may be going back for New Years. Glad it was just a false alarm.
Usually the stairs can be found by following the 'Exit' signs.
infinitecanadian Protip: Work out your exits ahead of time in a hotel, in case this happens and thar be smoke.

That too. Never thought of that, but most of the hotels I have been in are pretty straightforward in terms of hallways.
I've once been rudely awakened by a fire alarm at 4:07am at coylumbridge hotel, Scotland
Canada has mostly bells for fire alarms. Waking up to them would scare the crap out of me.
This is what my fire alarm sounds like at school.
Interesting alarm.
"I'm gonna go outside and see what's going on." Um, an evacuation alarm? :-P
Sounds EXACTLY like my school's fire alarm.
Me too but mine is a Simplex at my old elementary school and those are Notifier fire alarms, and it sounds almost EXACTLY like the ones at my elementary school.
At my middle school they use code 3 simplex fire bells, btw I just had a fire drill today XD
The bells are in Code 3.
xGapples - Minecraft A lot of people who like fire alarm videos are probably on the autism spectrum, so don't be surprised if people post obvious observations. :-)
thats right just like electronic horns alarms they are in code 3 as they should be.
Cool I have code 3 fire alarms in my apartment building and when I hear them i remember the bomb threat at the mall in 2015 when me and my grandma and aunts had to evacuate the mall
I notice that every fire alarm in Canada has the sound of a bell instead of an annoying horn.
not all fire alarms in canada, I'm canadian and I go to my grandmas house, there is a horn alarm there
@@skicai I know a school that has a fire alarm that sounds like a hockey buzzer
Caramba! I hate fire alarms that set off so stinking early in the morning! I had that happened at 3 IN THE MORNING!! I lost three hours of sleep because I was traumatized by the noise! I’m paranoid whenever I hear school bells and/or high pitched beeping because of what happened recently!
When I watched this video for the first time, that was the first time I hearded bells doing code 3, that was about 6 years ago.
I'm starting to think most of the time it's a false alarm because the same thing happened to me at 3:00 am and the funny thing is that it's always in middle of the night it's like WAKE UP THERE IS A FIRE YOUR GONNA DIE then it's ok I'd oh just kidding you can go back to bed now then you stay up for the next hour wondering what the neck just happened
Ikr one time that happened to a hotel on a trip in Scotland, the fire alarm went off at 12am and it was literally freezing outside and the next day we didn’t even get told what exactly happened 🤦♀️
Every time when we wake up daily the alarms go off because of the smoke from cooking breakfast bruh well sometimes in the hotel
This is kinda nostalgic
It's a small world we live in, eh? I just found out you're related to mark Freeman. I'm a huge fan of them and I watch your videos too.
man that bell is loud! So that woke you up!
Code 3 alarms usually mean a test. Continuous means a fire on the floor or in the area.
Nope code 3 is everything in Canada. If a building has continuous alarms. Unless you have a special tone for tests it plays the sound
Wow I remember this sound I heard when the mall in my town had a bomb threat in 2015 and to this day I don’t go outside I have anixiety disorder
I live in Vancouver and I see lots of bells I agree there is not many strobes
And Alberta too. More horn strobes and speakers but not very many bells
Acura TL GTLM I know at least in California their hase to be a fire alarm in every room of a home idk if it’s a low in Ontario now I think it is in my apartment each bedroom
Has a strobe mount
If people are wondering why he is half awake it is because it is 4:30 in the morning he probably did not use the map beause he was half assleep
***** yes middle of the night like I said it was 4:34 in the morning.
I saw Edwards bells on a cathedral in NY but no strobes.
ah music bells love the pitch of them
I have heard piercing alarm sounds before. You are lucky to keep your hearing if you hear those in close quarters
this is my favorite alarm
One of my favorites my favorite one is simplex m3 I think that's what their called.
I got woken up by the hotel phone ringing at 8 am last week when I was in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Tech: Is my phone ringing?
*Tech tries to answer his phone.*
Tech: Hello?
*Tech then hangs up.*
Tech: Then what is that sound? I'd better investigate.
Tech: THE FIRE ALARMS?
I'm gonna contact Thunderbeam in the morning.
*Next morning, Tech contacts Thunderbeam*
Thunderbeam: Hello?
Tech: At around 5 in the morning, we had a fire alarm with those stupid MB-G12-24s
Thunderbeam: OK, I'll be there soon.
*15 minutes later, Thunderbeam arrives with a Simplex 4007ES voice evac panel.*
Tech: Thanks for installing better fire alarms.
Thunderbeam: You're welcome!
Americans watching this and thinking bells are so old fashioned, fire alarm 'bells' are still used in England plus people with hearing aids hear them better than klaxon sirens!
Nah, I'm good with American like we have Strobe lights so people with hearing disability knows what's going on.
@@tarobrob513 Canada has strobe too. But the system here doesn’t have strobes.
That’s what the fire alarm sounds like in my apartment building
Hopefully they gave you some kind of discount for the inconvience. At least no one got hurt though which is what is most important.
Christmas is early
At 0:51 my favorite system sensor 10 inch bell
this is what the fire alarm sounds like in the mall and since the bomb threat I dont ever leave my apartment to go outside I have alot of panic attacks . this fire alarm reminds me of the day of october 28 2015 thata the day of the bomb threat I can still hear this sound in my ears when I sleep .
Poor guy :( I bet that even though the fire alarm went off and he had to evacuate the building, I bet by the time he got back he didn't really want to sleep as 4:50am is almost morning
That is the Vancouver Hotel in Grandville British Columbia
Bells? How quaint lol. Reminds me of the time I stayed in a hotel and they gave me a regular key.
how long did the alarm go off for did they rest the alarm
I seen your video dude the fire bells went off that’s annoying I used to have that in my school back in the day it’s very loud
I live in Canada 🇨🇦
The same thing happened to me about 3 years ago.
Love bells in march time
Those bells are not made for code 3. Also, No strobes in Canada?
TheJakeman789 there is strobes in Canada. Older buildings are not required to update the system but new buildings are required to have strobes
That is the most melodic fire alarm i have ever heard.
@@splatoongigi2523 Should this video go viral enough, I would love if people began deciding to replace traditional wedding bells with this sound in the future. Who knows, stranger things have happened in the last few years lol.
@@sbrg2240 yeah this music be viral and these are good bells to use for a wedding
@@TheDel4873 Speaking of Fire alarm shenanigans type "Fire Alarm Becomes 3rd Jazz Band Member" into youtube and click on the video uploaded by the channel Ben Ellis. It's a lovely clip of jazz musicians in a bar improvising to a fire alarm that went off in a bar. I am binging these fire alarm vids. lol.
Yeah in Canada they use bells in a lot of places still they have gone to horns and speakers in some places though. Sad part is that hotel doesn't have strobes for deaf people It looks fairly new. At least the fire alarm was programmed for code-3/temporal and it didn't give a continuous ringing.
Yeah Canada has been a fire alarm. Wanted level and Vancouver Canucks at Night Theme On GTA
My appartment uses "voice announcement " or beeping sounds for fire alarm
If your looking for a nice hotel in Vancouver stay here:) I live far away from here but its a great hotel I want to stay here some time again.
@ExoticShadow The Scout they do if they're quiet
I like the long fire engine or fire truck because two people could dirve one in the front and one in the back
The Santa Cluase is coming to town alarm
airwolf28 Canada doesn't require strobes on most of their fire alarm bells, or horns, even though some fire alarms in Canada come with strobes.
Wow 1 day before my birthday
These are really nice code 3 bells
Fire Alarm is like a alarm clock
This is how the alarms sound at my school
Jingle bells Jingle bells
Saiko Kandy -GlitchStreak- it's not Christmas it's on the December
Jeez, at *4 AM!?*
I want to go to that hotel!
I heard a HO, Ho, ho, merry Christmas
If your in a building and the alarms are going of look for the exit signs. They will lead you to outside.
Attention please! This is an emergency! Please leave the building immediately by the nearest available exit Eh?!
It sounds like a fire alarm bells
how did they set it off dude
Thankfully it happened to you at 4 in the Mornington because I live in Australia and when I was on a holiday in the gold cost I was staying at a hotel and the fire alarm was a bell. And at 1 in the morning the alarm goes off and guess what it was a false alarm grrr and I was tired and I was like 9 or something at the time
The Fire Alarm is going off At 4:34 AM
The fire alarm does the ringin and it does its ringin
oh man that sucks! why were you in vancouver?
follow the evacuation route given in your bedroom. If it was a real fire, you would need to get out as quickly as possible.
Well, There is a bit of a chi from the Fire Alarms in my City, We Have Fire Alarm Horns!
When in doubt follow the exit signs
They should install the flashing strobes and keep the bells
Why the fire alarm went off
This gives me nostalgia, I remember watching this as a child..
