정확하게 정리하면 위 영상은 1995년 5월 연세대에서 있었던 공안탄압분쇄와 노조활동지원을 위한 반주사계열 학생운동(좌파학생운동단체연합)집회사진입니다. 한총련의 경직성과 북한추종에 반대하면서 노동자와 농민의 운동과 권리를 지원하는 학생운동계열로 소위 피디라고 부르는 학생들의 집회에 경찰들이 불가방침을 세우자 충돌한 거죠...잘보면 부르는 노래는 노조집회에 나온 노래고, 깃발도 보면 학생위원회라고 써있습니다 주로(주사계열은 조국해방 어쩌고 써있죠 주로)...나름 사회가 평등해져야한다는 의식의 발로였죠...
This was filmed in 1996. The students in the footage are totally another group from ones in 1987. In 1996, military regime had been ruined and civilian government were already elected by citizens at their own hands. The propagsnda they argued in the footage was anti-USA and pro-North Korea. Ultimately they became origin of radical left wing group now, so called "De Kkee Moon" That is, they didn't stand for whole Korean students and their propaganda was already minor and anachronic at that time. They were very similar to the Red Guard in China or Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. What I want to say is, if you are foreigners or young Koreans who never lived that ear, don't try to make rash generalization to see minor groups' political propaganda. They, now age 40's, became most hated generation in Korea now.
I'm a Korean and basically back then South Korea was far worse than North Korea. So then when there was a new south korean dictator announced the citizens had enough and protested. My dad was one of the many people that protested in 1987 June Democracy movement.

I was in A Korea in that time. I remember watching on TV burning buildings and lots of protesters sitting in squat positions and being arrested.
