    I still want to get one and scale it out ! Every time I get to wanting to buy one, I seem to get discouraged with the amount of stock parts I'd have to replace to make it into what I wish I could buy "stock" before the mods!🤷🏼‍♂️ Glad to see more on this one! Keep em coming!

      I do understand, the steering in particular wants a bit of love. I'm thinking I'll grab a chassis kit and then just go to town. No wasted electronics that way and hopefully I can get it sussed from day one without needless wasted money. We shall see!

    The things I've seen people pull off with this truck even against a C2 tiny truck is insane! Hands down one of the best tiny trucks you can get with just a few mods. Free mods at that. They definitely require a very skilled driver, but I am consistenly amazed with some of the lines and capabilities of the TF2. Especially the TF2 Marlin.

    I absolutely love my TF2, I got it as a kit 6-7 years ago and have been changing things around and fine tuning it ever since. It still is my favorite truck to drive out of all the ones I own. It just puts a biggest smile on my face compared to the more modern truck I own.

    Love your channel, it got me really started down the RC crawler road (I never owned an RC vehicle). My first purchase was a redcat gen8 v2 and I absolutely love that thing, I want it to be my dedicated crawler. I just picked up a TF2 marlin edition because I want a rig with leaf springs, your vids solidified my choice of the tf2 over the tf3. My next one I want the knight runner with IFS and eventually a trx-4 with a long arm kit. Love the vids and keep it up!

    yes, Yes, YEEESS! I was so excited for you to talk about the TF2 platform!!! I think this is a fitting short and sweet video towards its impact in the RC crawler scene.
    IMO, It's not always the best enjoyment only focusing on pure performance. To struggle a bit with the limitations of your rig and when (if?) it accomplishes that challenge, the reward feels so much better! Makes you connect and feel more like a buddy or a team player with a piece of metal and plastic... as if you and your vehicle, be it a 1:1 or a scale rig, relate after sharing that struggle, and especially after achieving a goal jointly. Hope that made any sense...
    Either way, I hope this isn't the only full scale rig we see in a while. I would really really love to see a comparison test between the TF2, BRX01 and the RCRUN "80 series" chassis.

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm going to have to just do the RCrun vs the TF2 because getting a BRX01 before 2023 is currently looking like a bleak prospect!
      I'll see what else I can come up with that's interesting and relevant. Coming Soon (TM).

    • @RCTNT
      @RCTNT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your thoughts!
      The TF2 would be an uncharacteristic vehicle for Tamiya, I think. The Bruiser is right up their alley, but what RC4WD did with the TF2 was a unique and special 'next step' that the hobby was just ready for! We were waking up to it with the Bruiseruptor, which had some issues and never really took off, but then they nailed it with the TF2! After that, I think the next big thing was the TRX-4, as far as vehicles with changed things significantly, and since then it feels like the changes are coming thick and fast. Quite a time to be alive.

    Thanks for sharing your Yota collection with us, I have a love/hate relationship with Toyota. I think they've built some of the best off road vehicles in history but here in the States their owners can be a bit obnoxious about it. That being said I bought my WPL C14 simply because of looks and now it appears I'll have to buy a TF2. So thanks once again for being a bad influence!😜 By the way love the new mic, no more wind noise!

I also have 1 fully upgraded lwb version with super soft leaf springs,xvd axles,helical gears and all holmes hobbies electronics and that thing performs like no other. This truck beat several upgraded scx10 trucks at our local comp. Me personally,nothing compares to the trail finder rigs.

      I'm partial to them too. Honestly, driving skill trumps truck tech when they're all fairly similar and the axles are tough enough on the 4x4 rigs to last. I had problem after problem with the Beast II axles and links but for the 4x4 trucks, I breakages yet. I can see why you're a fan!
