Static displays like the time and date or a message that doesn’t move are often bad for VFD type display longevity. It generates heavy pixel wear which means you end up with bright and dark segments over time. That’s why the original display scrolls so the same letters are not statically on the screen in the same position. Good video thanks !
Yeah...I figured as much...that's why I had the "happy vending" message scroll. Even LCD monitors that are not supposed to be effected by "burn in" often will degrade the screen if you display a static image for too long.

I have a couple of older APs and I like them. Is the 123 the first model to go MDB?
Good question...I'm not sure. I know the 123 is one in a line of 120 machines. They are all MDB...but I'm not sure of what machine they replaced.
We have a studio 2 we need to change set up it accepts tokens we need to reset to accept bill and coins how do we change that?
That should be a setting in the coin mech rather than the machine.
I have an old CoinCO CT48 machine, I've just been struggling to find a place to put it.
I think a machine that size is best in someone's garage to dispense beer. It's not really big enough or attractive enough for a worthwhile account.
