This song is beautiful, with the finale or without the finale. I've noticed that some of the vocals used in the background of this song are also used in some other Unloved songs! Damn, that's nice! Seriously congratulations to Jade, Keefus and David for making the majority of the Killing Eve Soundtrack, thank you! :)
Some elements of the core tracks were sampled here, which now on rewatch just give sad hints to the end. I choose to appreciate that, but ignore and fully reject the awful ending they tried to force on us. Love the characters, love that it led me to purchase every Unloved album/EP, and love that Eve and Villanelle live on.

I'm still in denial...I feel a pit in my stomach and a sense of loss. This song gave me chills and made me cry while the finale left me distraught and angered.

The last 2 minutes of Killing Eve was the worst ending ever. I’m still not over it. I cried like a baby when Villanelle was shot because it was a prank they did when the video was released. I didn’t think they would use the BYG trope . Laura Neal went against PWB about what the show was about. Anyway this song is beautiful and Im crying again 😭. Villanelle and Eve deserve better!
In the final novel Villanelle and Eve end up together living in an apartment in St. Petersburg. Even works for a translation service, Villanelle is going to university and getting her degree in linguistics.
I agree! The episode was perfect, (not the last part of course, but yeah) we got villaneve being casual, which is possible, so they could of both survived, but they just took the most loved psychopath in world, villanelle from us... I also cried a lot for weeks, still not over It bro, I'll just miss her, even though she's not ever that real...

I’ve resorted to analyzing all the Unloved songs now as one more way to keep some good memories alive. The lyrics of this song are perfect for the V & E relationship dynamic.
Fuck that bullshit finale. Thank you though, for all the amazing work you guys have put into defining Eve and Villanelle's relationship so beautifully. Your music and the first 3 seasons will stand the test of time.

Commenting again…I play the drums, and when I’m home at night playing sometimes I just like to turn on the TH-cam recommendation and let it ride blindly. Surprise drumming is fun! Inevitably this song comes up at some point. And I swear, before I can even mentally register it, my gut is already twisted in knots several beats ahead. Because, guh.
But yes, while that’s sad and weird for a TV series to forget they exist for entertainment and be hellbent on causing such ... pain…there is definitely more here to lose yourself in. My love for Unloved has only grown (I always power through and play through this track). And I love that I discovered so much great music of theirs through KE. I always share to this day. ^_^
But damn this track hurts. And the track hurts even more/better/worse than the weak script did. So I give this to Unloved 100000% and will keep listening and drumming, despite the surprise gut punches.

I adore all of UNLOVED songs. You are so talented, your songs really feels like on another level, fully of emotions and feelings and unique stories! When I'm listening your songs I could think only about Killing Eve series with different stories and emotions. This song right now killing and cutting me out. I just wanna die. I feel now how tragic, unbeliavable, cruel, violence and hurt this ending at the same time 😭This show deserved better than trash scenarist!

The really baffling thing is that showrunner LN claimed the ending was good for Eve, some kind of redemption allowing her a new life. That's not what the end felt like, and the song lyrics underscore that she will be forever heartbroken (and probably will go on a revenge killing spree).

It was very painful
I try to filter this great composition out from the horrible and unnecessary gut punch…but sometimes my heart just implodes. All I can do is keep playing this track, and sink into it, and rewrite the script in my head to change the ending and preserve one of the greatest soundtrack collabs of all time.
