As a huge Periphery fan, it's always a pleasure seeing other people enjoy their music ✌️

Funny you said something about a saxophone, another track from the same album, "Wildfire", does have a sax solo :D

Periphery are big into gaming and Nobuo Uematsu is a composer for games like FF7. The last track was showing their appreciation for his art.

While I've heard of this band I'm not terribly familiar with there music. I liked what I heard.

This song has the best vibe. It's eerie but so sick. The song after it is even better

Funny you mentioned FNM/Mike Patton, he's Spencer's (Periphery vocalist's) favourite singer, and takes a lot of influence from him. A comparison he would like to hear im sure!

Enjoyed the reaction!Periphery has recently become one of my favourite bands. They incorporate a wide range of genres in their songs and albums and can be heavy af 🤘 I also really enjoy the theatrical nature to some of their songs like Dracul Gras and Reptile!
They also have epic style rock songs like Wax Wings, Lune, Marigold, Scarlett, and Satellites.
Some of their heavier bangers are Make Total Destroy, Stranger Things, Blood Eagle, and Everything is Fine!
It's hard to pick just one of their albums so I will cheat and say my desert island Periphery would be the double album Juggernaut:Alpha and Juggernaut:Omega.
    Cheers 🤘

The parts that sounds Mike Pattonesque also sound a lot like a heavy incubus

Djent (/dʒɛnt/) is a subgenre of progressive metal characterized by its use of off-beat and complex rhythm patterns.[1][2] Its distinctive sound is that of high-gain, distorted, palm-muted, down-tuned strings. The name "djent" is an onomatopoeia of this sound.[3][4][5

They’re a whole different genre and subgenre than Linkin Park. The only comparisons I hear are the high pitched vocals with screams.

As someone who loved Linkin Park since before they became big, and Periphery being my favorite band, I just ruined my hand by scratching my head excessively.
