When you think of the fact that these two were each other’s first friends at the age of 5 and 7 you realize how close they have become. Ignis poured all his dedication and devotion into Noct, and he was there for him literally all his life. He grew attached to him. Despite the clear king and advisor roles, they really are brothers and the best of friends.
