@@danieljeanjacque6437 yea absolutely. People start to compare their lives to other people and care about fame like the guy mentioned in the video. And it’s true people care about likes and attention.

In your Beyonce now has pinky finger leverage example it should be also said that Beyonce started like most... bad deals until she became popular and had the leverage that she now enjoys. These three Lessons on Exposing the Music Industry are great, but!!! NOW Spend 3 parts on the Options NEW Artists have to scale themselves into the pinky finger Leverage that Beyonce Has. Explanations and Complaints are Great, but SOLUTIONS are Keys to Wisdom.

We try to help artists build business also. Over the years I'd say it's about 1 in 100 clients actually create a stable, long term business from music solely. It's possible, but it's a long term game and many artists do not have the endurance

Everyone keeps praising Taylor Swift as the girl who beat the system and the artist who stuck it to the corporate overlords, if we are to be fair she did , but they fail to understand that she is an anomaly , she isn't the rule. Music Labels are in the financial arbitrage and management business, they don't create art , they manage and control those who do.
The first two Qualities are needed to become a superstar, but the last trait is needed to create a brand. Taylor Swift has all three.
-The stage presence, the charisma and a magnetic personality needed to create a loyal fanbase and grow it.
    - The creative talent, vocals and the drive and to use both to create musical masterpieces.
-The business acumen and contacts to create, manage and market themselves as a brand.
Any artist who has all 3 doesn't need a label and Labels know it, so what did they do as a response to her actions.
Well they stopped trying to create superstars instead choosing to work with influencers and mid level talent who had fanbases of their own but lacked one of the listed traits needed to blow up by themselves and even those they signed to 360 deals. Next they went about buying the masters of old artists so they controlled all catalogue music created from the 40s to date, it may have cost them tens of billion of dollars but they wont have to worry about lawsuits and having their control of the arts challenged by artists.
Taylor may have meant to help but she harmed more than she helped her fellow artists, if the system was water tight in her time it's air tight now. Labels are willing to trade creative potential for assured control , which is why music quality has taken a massive hit.

In most cases, record labels are looking for an existing fire 🔥 they want to add fuel to the fire.
Most people want the record label to create the fire FOR them. It’s not like that now because it’s too risky to invest in artist development.

What about that someone take the knowledge of the music industry and create a label that's totally fair in negotiation, royalties, contracts, all that to the artist where it isn't and try and build that foundation? ...BUT I WONDER IF THEY'D KILL YOU FOR IT!!! Cause going against the machine I think in Hollywood would or could get you killed, right???? I have a no win for anyone senario for this notion...I'm not gonna say it here because it would expose it but my idea no one would win at that "killer' game...not even Diddy himself...the thing is the person who does this has to have the sole capital of their own to start this because there's always a middle man taking inbetween money.
