Totally agree. My favourite player EVER!! I remember watching him at the games from 94-97, and he grabbed everyone’s imagination. On one occasion my mum and sister were in another part of the ground to where I was on a European night (Galatasaray), and without following football that much, they both said later how everyone was in awe of him, even when he wasn’t on the ball. He was like an orchestra conductor!!
Say what you like, Eric Cantona simply dismantled teams.along with the rest of the Man U team of the day. Why England cannot do it today, under Southgate, is a true mystery.
I remember a friend, not a Newcastle supporter but an 'ABU' advocate, banging on and on about the impossibility of United making up the deficit to Newcastle. I would say, "It's not even Christmas yet." I was confident, if not 100% convinced, that a combination of United playing well and Newcastle feeling the heat would result in a serious reversal of fortune. And so it went.
There's a relatively recent article from the Guardian (I think) which has a line about Cantona that stays with me. "Behaviour that would seem ostentatious in others was entirely natural with him." Bang on.
He made the mid 90s unforgettable.
This man made me excited about life in general not just football was on another level
My favourite Man United player of all-time :)
Cantona was a genius not a normal footballer he was the greatest French player ever
Special player ,but speaking as a united fan I'd have to say Platini was the best French footballer.
That title belongs to Zidane mate
@@andyhalstead3949Platini IS a legend but Zidane IS thé best
Cantona is the reason why i love MU
He single handled made modern football famous. The GOAT
He is the reason why I am a United fan today
No player will ever come close to him.He will always be king of Manchester united

What about giggs, or scholes? They did way more for way longer.
he was born for man u as sir alex ferguson said🐐
He will for ever be my king
The fact that he came back won the league and FA cup, then gave the number 7 shirt to Beckham and the captain armband to Keane then retired. Legend.
Not true, he retired in 97. Not 96
One of the greatest
George....Best, Cantona most influencial. !!
A time when men didn't wear ankle socks or take selfies. Good times.

The minute I saw that Keegan rant about Stuart Pearce, I knew we’d win the league. Straight up. Fergie had got to him!! Genius.

For me, there only 4 Man Utd legendary players that deserved wearing the no 7 jersey :
1) George Best
2) Bryan Robson
3) Eric Cantona
4) David Beckam
My favourite to Eric
the best 9 in the world
@@kevinlynch9438is this Kevin Lynch fae the Gorbals 🍀🍀
In the top 3 Utd players No question
It's better to loose world cup with Cantona, than Win with Zidane or M'bappe. Nothing Racism in this, only human respect
What's wrong with McClair? Bro seems stoned
I still love everything United, but Gary Neville needs to stfu now
His political stance is against everything us mancs believe
Great times
