I appreciate how the prosecution is very careful about presenting evidence & witnesses, that they aren't treating this case like a slam-dunk.
I loved Benjamin Dean's testimony. Finally, someone on the stand connected the dots regarding Tylee out loud.
OK, watching the police officer's bodycam with Chad & Lori reading the protection order that they bring JJ and Tylee to Rexburg Health Dept., I gotta wonder what was going through their minds. Were they thinking Oh oh the jig's up! Or was it, OK now we need to lie again and we've done that before, so it will be fine. I mean, here's Chad in court and he's watching a video if himself at this crucial moment.
What a wierd story this whole thing is.
I can’t understand how these people thought they’d get away with killing those kids.
If Prior thinks his defense even has a .25 % chance of swaying a jury he’s gonna HAVE to put Chad on stand to help explain so many problems with this defense strategy that Chad was just a poor manipulated dupe of Lori’s & Alex’s - especially the part where he’s trying to argue that Gibb was a part of the murder conspiracy

I have often wondered what is going through Chad's head during some of this trial as he sits there listening and seeing everything.
Well looking at pictures of his wife’s murdered son and mutilated charred remains of her daughter didn’t seem to bother him much so what’s a piece of paper?
I'm surprised that Chad didn't see all this coming in his "visions". 🤔

Well yeah, I saw that from the get go. Lori is a professional grifter from waaaay back.
You can see she’s hungry all the way back in early 2000s when she was on Wheel of Fortune. Go watch that if you haven’t seen it. It was when she was still married to Joseph Ryan and he was still alive. The kids were babies. She talks about them and about being broke.

Why does Prior keep trying to make something out of nothing about the black handled shovel and Melanie Gibb?? I think he's an old heavy boozer. Also, why did the low lifes' keep that stuff in the car?? Too stupid and careless. I guess they thought they were immune to criminality because they were godlike in their own minds?? Chad orchestrated this whole crime with the help of Lori and the handful of followers who couldn't think for themselves. So sad for the fate of those two kids.
After hearing the content of the text message Chad sent Tammy describing the large "raccoon" he had shot, was burning along with limbs and yard debris, and which he buried in their "pet cemetery"....
Other than Tylee's remains found there, were raccoon remains found in the pet cemetery as well ?
No raccoons found in the pet cemetery, only Tylees 😢

I recall the FBI Evidence Response Team leader said they found remains of a dog and a cat, but he did not mention a raccoon.

I’d like to know what’s up with the right side of my $2000 TV is blurred and the left side, the top and bottom are nice and clear. And it only looks like this on this trial. Now it went to commercial and it’s perfectly clear.

I think it´s on purpose, because I read on court docs that Lori complained about court tv zooming in her hand to show her ring and that they were zooming in her face to see her reactions, after that Judge Boyce forbid footage and after a hard battle where public opinion was criticising prosecution,the judge and the secret sealed procedings,as sunlight is the best disinfectant and defendands have more rights and are more protected then their victims and the community, finally it was decided there could be footage but not zooming in defendants. It´s on record.

The amount of sidebars is unseen and so unusual that,if I was a juror I would think something is being hidden and all parts are in agreement. How can someone be responsible for deciding someone deserves death penalty, if so much information is being hidden by all parts?They can start sympathizing with defendant or even believe Prior´s theory that he is being framed! Why else would this trial be different from every other trial with the constant secrecy and sidebars? It can backfire for the state, and it´s their own doing.
I think that is an excellent point. When they have a sidebar and decide not to let the jury know what is going on they are being deceptive and dishonest period. How can they expect a fair and honest vote ? I wonder how many times jurors have thought, Wow If I'd known that I would have voted guilty. Wow I didn't know that, it changes everything. Did I just vote guilty to a person who could very well be innocent. Isn't court supposed to be, The Whole Truth, Nothing but the Truth.
If I was on the Jury all those side bars would only confirm what I expect:
that the prosecution will do anything to make it more unlikely that any appeal is successful after he is convicted while the defense will try to achieve the opposite.
What worries me more is how often the "raccoon text" is brought up.
If I was on the Jury and the would bring up the same text again and again I would start to wonder if they do it because they lack of more evidence that links Chad to the murders and burials from the children.
But while I think they failed proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Chad murdered Tammy I am very sure he will be convicted for the murder of the children even if "just" the conspiracy to murder them.
