Although the original is Danish, it's spoken in English and only made in 2022 which is weird why the remake was made so soon.
The message of the first movie was the family weren't idiots, they were overly cowardly, and the film leaned on the different cultures, with Danish known to be very polite as to why they stayed and endured it

To be honest, I thought would fail due to horror always being either a hit or miss.
Thankfully, Speak No Evil is getting good reviews with critics. Hope it does well.

I will say the theater me & my brother went to that was 80% black was 100% packed and we had a great time, I highly recommend you go see it at theaters, you will have a great time. It is an amazing uncomfortable emotional thrill ride

I’m still not 100% sure what this movie is about but from what I can gather it looks really creepy, James McAvoy looks incredible, just like he did in Split he looks like he’s gonna give us a truly terrifying performance, my god, I’m impressed with this guy more and more every time I see him, it seems like in every movie he evolves and heightens the kind of performance he gives to the next level, there’s quite a bit of movies coming out this weekend but Speak No Evil honestly looks like the best of the bunch

I think it's obvious people just never wanted to like this film...it could've gotten a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and ppl would've still said this film shouldn't have been made

@@txsiimk Most people will never see the original because it doesn't feature any big stars and hadn't had a major distribution..Most people wouldn't even know that the original ever existed if this remake hadn't been made.

I got to watch the movie early a few weeks ago and really loved it. Definitely listen to “Eternal Flame” by the Bangles on the way there 😉
