Not compulsory but it is a good to deallocate memory that you have allocated.

For this you need to know, operater precedence. It is simply based on the precedence rules.
Bro, your are used the * symbol this symbol is access the data.. Your are assign ptr=i;
What is i value=100;
You can remove the * and the adress will be printed of i....
Every variable stores some value or character in it. And the variable also have an address to get accessible to some statements like scanf etc.
Just like in home, a fridge stores all the veggies and things, we keep the fridge near to kitchen or in kitchen which is it address.
Just like that a pointer is a special type of variable which stores the address.
