This is Barbados cherry, it can do well in tropical climate. In fact I live in West Bengal, Birbhum district. The temperature sometimes reaches more than Rajasthan . So no problem. Just keep in semi shaded area

As a professional horticulturist for 40 years,one small tip I find extremely important when planting any plants - either in pots or a bed...I use a thin wooden skewer ( as I do the watering after the planting,) to poke around into the soil- as the water flows - what this does is insure that any "air pockets " do not remain in the soil .tapping the pot lightly helps also .Air pockets that remain are injurious to newly sprouted spreading young roots,if the hit air it will dry them.up and they will die,as they are very tender and vulnerable.Tjis method is easy ,just poke around 5 or 6 times intermittently into the soil while applying the water.tap the pot lightly so the pockets will fill in with soil.Beimg aware of where the roots are placed and try to avoid poking them Sometimes I do the topping off of soil with maybe 2 levels,doing the skeet in between them Rose bushes are extremely susceptible to dying from air pockets under the soil when newly planted.But will thrive when a chopstick,rod or wire is used to eliminate them during the planting ,and the roots spread out circularly ...while water is being applied
mulch is a blessing for many reasons on top of the soil too.
