- “You sick evil b*tch!” After the “death” of Laura’s son Lucky on “General Hospital”, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) trolls a grieving Laura (Genie Francis) hard. Laura snaps back at Helena and tries to kill her, and Laura snaps into a nervous breakdown. Helena is more twisted than she appears here. Lucky wasn’t even dead. Helena had him secretly kidnapped, faked his death, and was brainwashing him to later turn against his parents when he returns from the dead. This is one of my favorite Laura and Helena scenes. Constance is deliciously evil as Helena. Genie as Laura delivers an emotional rollercoaster punch of fear, rage, and despair. Bravo ladies!
Laura may have been shaken visibly in this scene, but she shook Helena up too. I'd never seen this one before, but that is Emmy worthy power from Genie.
I always thought that Constance Towers deserves an Emmy for playing Helena Cassadine.
You completely forget that the iconic Elizabeth Taylor originated the role.
I LOVE Helena Cassadine! Laura don't want no beef with Helena lowkey! Helena was BRUTAL! And she never sweat in front of anyone! Always wore a poker face and got under everyone's skin! THIS was a villain!

Little do people realize....Helena Cassadine and Heather Webber are dark and dangerous and manipulative, of course....But Laura Spencer Webber is the real one who will snap the fuck out and cause real damage. She is sweet and wholesome, but I always considered her to be a quiet storm. She was not to be played with. Laura would have done damage to Helena.

@@DeepScreenAnalysis YES!!! I just came across a Tonja Walker scene from "The Young and the Restless" with Brenda Dickson (right before she joined GH) and after being the sweet Lizabeth on "Capitol", Tonja showed what she could do, putting "La Dickson" in her place.

Helena really had a sick obsession with Stavros. Would love to see a prologue of the Cassadine family showing Helena and Mikkos in their younger years after they first married to see exactly what drove her to worship at the alter of Stavros, revile Stefan, turn to Viktor for comfort and give birth to Valentin, and find out who the father of her daughter Irina was. I keep hoping the show will bring some CAssadines back into the mix besides Valentin because honestly, he's boring lol. I miss Nikolas, Spencer and most of all Helena. As Luke once astutely said, she had a stylish menace all her own.

Laura always thinks that Helena is the wicked witch of port Charles and every time she pours water on her Helena will melt but every time Helena comes back from the dead she always gets her revenge long live Helena the wicked witch and evil queen of port Charles 👑 she is back and badder than ever
But she is so old now. Constance will be leaving us this decade.

The start of Laura going insane after everyone thought Lucky had died only made worse when she thought she killed her step-father as a teen.
Laura should had choked Carly this way during the Deception storyline.
They should not have had Elizabeth in the whole face topic. Gia wanted it more. Liz was used as a main angle for Carly vs Laura.

Not my favorite scenes from Genie. Trying to be both restrained and too hysterical, over-the-top. I think it has more to do with the storyline and the writing, though. What could she really do with that?
