Why it is called a fort Jesus?
The Portuguese who came to Kenya for trade regarded themselves as the representatives of Christendom rather than of Portugal, and as a result, they sailed under the flag of the order of Christ, Jesus was therefore an obvious name for the new fort. Its a historical site
