Kim Wilson - Low Down Woman

Another memory from a few weeks ago with Kim Wilson and the Rhythm Scratchers with 'Low-Down Woman' a song Kim wrote originally from the Fabulous Thunderbirds album 'What's The Word' that came out in 1980. Always love playing this one with Kim. Dig Marty Dodson's explosive drumming fills!

Yeah! Now that's where a Blues harp should be in the sound mix! You'd be surprised how many sound men at clubs would say it's too loud! Even sometimes a band member! Bullshit! I've done countless sound checks, when I just plug in, and blow a few notes, and the sound guy says, "That harp sounds a little loud!" They have no idea how loud the band is gonna get behind the harp, plus, they're not used to harp. Or they think harp should sound like a folk singer with an acoustic guitar, and a harp rack around his neck!

Absolutely. THAT'S why I will often use a QSC powered speaker with harp-oriented pedals--plenty of power.
