The Hives anticipated new album Lex Hives is out on June 5, 2012. In celebration, the band is taking over Noisey. Every day this week, Noisey will post exclusive video footage from The Hives performance at Webster Hall Studio on April 26. The buzzed-about underplay at the 300-capacity venue was widely acclaimed, with MTV praising their "Superhuman capacity for consistent excellency," and SPIN anointing Howlin' Pelle Almqvist as "one of the greatest frontmen in rock."

SO smart from the uniforms like the Ramones, the set to where there is no stopping, and so much interaction with the crowd! They are the best band of the 20th century without a doubt even better then both bands I'm in Damn!!!!
This is not only the best "Hives" over the course of their history - this may also be the best current live band. Possibly together with Nothing but Thieves.

Saw them at Beautiful Days festival in England a few years ago and they did the most INCREDIBLE mannequin challenge... Right in the middle of rocking hard, and picked up after without missing a beat. Wish I could find a video of it, was amazing

I was at this show and every Hives show in NYC because next to The Stones, The Hives are the second greatest rock 'n roll band in the WORLD and Howlin' Pelle right up there with Jagger!!

I completely agree. It's the survival of the fittest. I always try to spread understanding, acceptance and tolerance. Respecting that everyone is different, but the humanity is so fucked and and people so selfish. I am definitely the meek one, and I already feel I can't survive in this world of cruelty, rudeness, lack of proper communication and such. Depressing.
More than a hint of the Stooges, great bands and well worth seeing live.

Although I agree with your statement, you should never forget, that this is show. The Hives are like this and the people want to see the Hives. You will never know how they are in their private life. Because you probably don't know something else than the show. And that is the main "problem" - everything you read, see or hear over a third partie is show. Our whole system is founded on fake. The key is to care for the important things. Like standing in that crowd and not to reflect, but to dance.

First of all, I'm a woman. Second of all I've listened to this band for 12 years and I am not saying he is bad or the music is bad. I just don't like what he is saying here. Just because someone has a different opinion from you is no reason to swear. You're never going to survive in this world if you act like that. Being a bully is something that should be treated, not promoted. Be polite and respect that people are different.
