    Hey man! Great stand. Couple notes on the table saw:
    1. never use gloves, if it catches the blade, it can suck your whole hand in
    2. Don't wear baggy clothes, same reason

    I like this stand and am about to make it. Thanks for making the video. But can I give you some potentially finger-saving tips for table saw usage? 1) take those gloves and jacket off, they can get caught in the blade 2) rough sawn lumber can technically be cut on a table saw but it’s dangerous. Miter saw or hand held would be much safer for that crosscut 3) table saw cuts should always be supported either with a miter gauge or rip fence, not cut free hand 4) blade height should only be about one blade tooth higher than your wood; no need to expose more blade than needed

    I ended up making some very similar based on yours. They turned out great. Thanks for sharing 👍

    Nice design. A thought, if this is attached to a vertical support (wall or other structure) a bike could be parked vertically and free up some floor space.

    Nice job. Please use a miter gauge for crosscut.

      Agree 100% on the use of a miter saw.

    You can probably use that as a manual machine with a few tweaks.
    Well done!

    Can I park like this and wash my bicycle tyres? Will the cycle flip over?

    • @mtbikestuff4264
      @mtbikestuff4264  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No it won’t flip...as long as your on a flat-ish surface. This is how I was my bike all the time.

    Nice but not quite perfect. Needed longer base at bottom and use another board in front to keep bike from rolling back out. Thanks though. Gonna make something similar

    You are not supposed to use gloves with anything spinning, especially a table saw. Please refer to incidents where people have lost fingers due to gloves being pulled in.

    • @alsmith7316
      @alsmith7316 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is true. That cut on the table saw was dangerous even without the gloves. Nice stand, but his the use of the table saw should be ignored by all. Not only was the cut unsupported, but the board was warped. This is a recipe for disaster.

    I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

    Just use screws...don't nail things together...

    • @mtbikestuff4264
      @mtbikestuff4264  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      chcitak Usually I would use screws but since I didn’t have any and my drill wasn’t charged, I used the nail gun. Since this bike stand won’t be under much strain it should hold up fine.
