I almost didn’t post this. It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s the longest I’ve ever spent editing any video so, ya know, here goes. There’s plenty of words I can’t say, so feel free to laugh, as I did in many takes, at “adjacent uplands”, “vistas it offers visitors” and “Yavapai Point” (Say that 6-times fast). It’s my first time at voiceover work so please be gentle, lol. Would you like to see more of this type of video? Let me know what you think, below -
    In this video:
    00:00 Intro to Grand Canyon
    01:01 Bright Angel Trail
    04:16 South Kaibab Trail
    06:55 Rim Trail
    09:02 Outro

I’d definitely like to hike at the base of the canyon for a change. I’ve only ever been near the top where all the other tourists are.

That’s where 90% of the people go! Do you think I should do another video like this? Any ideas? Appreciate your input

@@JillianCampsArizona I'll watch any video like this, the format is really nice. (TH-cam algorithm also loves "top X" lists!)

thank you!! i've been wanting to go there. what do you think of the rim to rim hike. when is the best time to go there?

The north rim is closed October/November-May, depending on when the snow starts. Usually mid October. You can’t get to the a north rim, literally (the gate is closed!). I’d recommend either a May/early June hike or, as my brother and I have done, September hike. The weather usually cooperates and it makes it easier to plan.

@@JillianCampsArizona trying to plan my trip there now. you mentioned that you dont recommend going past indian garden? trying to figure out wha tis the best trail to take. seems that if you stop at indian garden you dont actually get to go to the colorado river. :(. Also is it worth while to continue to plateu point? thank you !!

@@MarisolsAdventures Yes, you can easily make it to plateau point and back in a day. I would highly recommend starting really early for that hike, however. Plateau point is about 10 miles roundtrip. I would take the Bright Angel trail down to Indian Garden, then do the add-on. You can private message me on facebook too if you wanted to talk faster, sorry sometimes I don't get the notifications right away! Collab? lol. I've done Plateau Point as a day hike, you can definitely see the colorado river from there!
