An ounce and three/eighths 12 gauge load to use on late season flushing pheasants. Improved cylinder Trulock in my lower barrel and improved modified Trulock in my upper barrel and I am set.
The best compromise is the choke the gives you the largest effective spread at the ranges you shoot at. As mentioned in the video, typical shots in this area are 40 - 45 yards. A full choke will hurt you with the most common shots, although it certainly increases pattern density at 60 yards. Most wild pheasant shots here, over the last 50 years, do not exceed 50 yards.
@@RandyWakeman The gun came with it, why not throw it in and test it out? I know I'm curious and so would a bunch of people. Could sub this load in for turkeys vs the XR.
Hey Randy, now that's impressive (choke and load) for a 60 yd. shot! And modified at that! And factory choke! Thank you sir once again!
Very Impressive!!! I will be getting a few boxes of those.

Agreed.
The 8% Amtimony Diamond Grade shot is superb.
I wish i had someone to go hunting with and we Actually had pheasants.
Why not a full choke for that distance?

All you have to is to buy a box and try it yourself, at any distance and with any choke that you wish.
Strange pattern, tight and nice, yes, but where are the rest of the pellets at 60 yards?
Who cares? Effective spread is only 15 - 16 inches for a wingshooting pattern.
