"“How can you say, ‘We are wise,
And the law of the Lord is with us’?
But behold, the lying pen of the scribes
Has made it into a lie."
Al Fadi invites special guests David Wood and Sam Shamoun to explore Biblical scripture commonly used by Muslims, manipulated and out of context, to disprove the Truth of the Word of God.

John 8:33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. 38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. 48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? 49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. 50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. 51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. 52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. 53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? 54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: 55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. 59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Jeremiah 37:1 Zedekiah the son of Josiah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah, reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim. 37:2 *But neither he nor his servants nor the people of the land listened to the words of the LORD that he spoke through Jeremiah the prophet.*
And Zedekiah did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as Jehoiakim had done. (2 Kings 24:19)
God spoke through Jeremiah, but the King rather listened to the lying scribes in his court who assured him the Jerusalem would not be destroyed. Nebuchadnezzar DID burn Jerusalem to the ground, and took its people into captivity. It's really quite a gruesome depiction of stupidity, from the king to the lying scribes.
Proverbs 29:12 If a ruler listens to lies, all his officials will be wicked.
That is what Jeremiah was dealing with, and it is no different than today. We love lies of assurance of safety, when both Testaments speak of this world's coming judgment. Islam has been dog-paddling in such lies for 14 centuries, but they're not alone in facing utter destruction.

What Jeremiah spoke came to pass, and its severity could have been lessened had the King listened to Jeremiah. They are those on whom are the prayers (salawatun) from their Lord and mercy (rahmatun), and it is they who are the guided-ones. S. 2:157
He it is who prays (yusallee) for you and His angels too, to bring you forth out of the darkness into the light, for He is merciful to the believers. S. 33:43 Palmer
Verily, God and His angels pray (yusalloona) for the prophet. O ye who believe! pray for him (salloo) and salute him with a salutation! S. 33:56 Palmer
The hadith reports also mention Allah praying for people:
1387. Abu Umama reported that the Messenger of Allah said, “Allah AND His angels AND the people of the heavens AND the earth, EVEN the ants in their rocks AND the fish, PRAY for blessings on those who teach people good." [at-Tirmidhi] (Aisha Bewley, Riyad as-Salihin (The Meadows of the Righteous), Book of Knowledge, 241. Chapter: the excellence of knowledge; bold, capital and italic emphasis ours)
    And:
2685. Abu Umamah al-Bahili narrated: “Two men were mentioned before the Messenger of Allah. One of them a worshipper, and the other a scholar. So the Messenger of Allah said: ‘The superiority of the scholar over the worshipper is like my superiority over the least of you.’ Then the Messenger of Allah said: ‘Indeed ALLAH, His Angels, the inhabitants of the heavens and the earths - even the ant in his hole, even the fish - say Salat upon the one who teaches the people to do good. (Hasan)
[Abu ‘Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib Sahih… (English Translation of Jami‘ At-Tirmidhi, Compiled by Imam Hafiz ‘Eisa Mohammad Ibn ‘Eisa At-Tirmidhi, From Hadith no. 2606 to 3290, translated by Abu Khaliyl (USA), ahadith edited and referenced by Hafiz Abu Tahir Zubair ‘Ali Za’i, final review by Islamic Research Section Darussalam [Darussalam Publishers & Distributors, First Edition: November 2007], Volume 5, Chapter 19. What Has Been Related About the Superiority Of Fiqh Over Worship, p. 80 - listed as number 70 in the ALIM CD-Rom version of at-Tirmidhi’s hadith collection; capital and underline emphasis ours)
There are additional references which acknowledge that Allah prays:
The people of Israel said to Moses: “Does your Lord pray?” His Lord called him [saying]: “O Moses, they asked you if your Lord prays. Say [to them] ‘Yes, I do pray, and my angels [pray] upon my prophets and my messengers,’” and Allah then sent down on his messenger: “Allah and His angels pray…” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Q. 33:56; translated from the Arabic online edition; bold emphasis ours)
    And:
    Hadith 216:
The Israelites said to Musa: Does your Lord pray? Musa said: Fear Allah, O Sons of Israel!
Allah said: O Musa! What did your people say? Musa said: O my Lord, You already know? They said: Does your Lord pray?
Allah said: Tell them My prayer for My servants is that My Mercy should precede My Anger. If it were not so, I would have destroyed them. [Ibn ‘Asakir] (Al-Ahadith Al-Qudsiyyah - Divine Narratives translated by Dr. Abdul Khaliq Kazi & Dr. Alan B. Day, Section 2: Al-Ithafat Al-Saniyya Bi‘l-Ahadith Al-Qudsiyyah by Shaikh Zain al-Din Abdul Ra‘uf b. Taj al-‘Arifin b. ‘Ali b. Zayn al-‘Abidin al-Munawi [Dar Al Kitab Arabi - USA, 1995], pp. 305-306; underline emphasis ours)
The following is supposed to be a prayer of Allah taken from Ibn Hisham’s Al-Sirah Al-Halabiyya:
قلت يا جبريل أيصلى ربك قال نعم قلت وما يقول قال يقول سبوح قدوس رب الملائكة والروح سبقت رحمتى غضبى
I [Muhammad] said, “O Gabriel, does your Lord pray?” He said, “Yes.” I said, “What does he say?” “This is what he says. He says: ‘Glory, holy, Lord of the angels and the Spirit. My mercy overcomes my wrath.’” (Bold, underline and comments within brackets ours)
What makes this rather amazing is that according to the Islamic sources the words salawat and salah refer to worship and glorification:
Ibn Al-Atheer in his highly acknowledged dictionary of the Arabic language, 'Al-Nihaayah fi Ghareeb al-Athar' has explained "Sala'h" as follows:
'Al-Sala'h' and 'Al-Salawaat': used for a particular kind of worship. Its literal origin is supplication (prayer). Sometimes, 'Sala'h' is referred to by mentioning any one or more of its parts. It is also said that the literal origin of the word is 'to glorify' and the particular worship is called 'Sala'h', because it entails the glorification of the Lord. (The Meaning of the Word "Sala'h", May 19, 2001; bold emphasis ours)

the accusation that the Torah & the Gospel had been falsified would deny what was in the Quran itself. WHY?
Look at QS ( Quran Surah) Al Kahfi 27 : it said " And recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. ( Kitabu Rabbika) There is no changer of His words, and never will you find in other than Him a refuge.
Explanation: The book of the Lord is " Kitabu Rabika" ( in Arabic) which means : All the books from Allah which given, including Torah, Gospel/ Injil & Quran) which these books contains sentence sentences of God himself / God's words. In this Surah ( Al Kahfi 27) clearly said that " there's no changer of His words/ sentences" as God himself will guard His words.
Then when moslem accuse that Gospel/ Injil & Torah corrupted, then moslem against their Quran. and indirectly saying that Allah is weak and lying.
    THank you.

Jeremiah 8 is talking about how Jerusalem does not know the Law of God because the scribes are writing decrees that promote the worship of the heavens instead of God. The scribes are not writing in the Bible but are writing to the kings, officials and peoples what they claim the Law says. The passage isn’t about the scriptures being changed but declarations to Jerusalem about what their interpretations are. Basically they have the Law but the men in charge of it are not telling the truth about what it says. Their lying pen is them writing the decrees to the people.

Jesus answered, "The most important is Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is, Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these." Then the scribe said to him, "You are right, teacher. You have correctly said that he is one, and there is no one else except him (He did not say YOU. If Jesus was God he has to say YOU are one, and there is no one else except YOU). And to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is far more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices."

You are able to see that the message is the same throughout the revelations but this one Satan inspired lie/ idea, that Jesus is God, is holding you back, as reality shows Jesus was a human messenger chosen by God to preach the message of the oneness of God. I have a hunch that in the deep recesses of your soul something is stirring and by God's grace you might accept the light. Let go of ego and pride. You are so close. Jesus is unlike any of the prophets, and even from a neutral perspective I find it hard to believe Mohammed can be the successor of Jesus. Jesus himself warned of false prophets coming and only the one he said he'll send is the holy spirit (which is something I have testified to with my own eyes). The base of the Quran is the Torah and Gospel, even when reading it, I can feel like it was summaries written. How I would copy something if I wanted to put it into my own words. Yet the Quran is rejected by the Torah and Gospel, so it has to go and say the books have been corrupted. It is not even logical that God would send the Gospel on top of a book you claim is corrupted, just so he can allow the Gospel corrupt as well. The Christians have no need to say the Torah is corrupted because the message goes together. The people became corrupt but not the message. But when the Quran came it is unable to co exist with it's predecessors. So even Mohammed didn't realize it so he didn't put it directly in the Quran. The scholars did, so they put it in with their hadith.

If Isaiah 42 is Jesus, then a great nation is a nation which worships idols (according to 6th century historical evidence [Qedarites]), something that’an Abrahamic faith can never accept.
And so if you’re argument is that an Ishmaelite can’t succeed the abrahamic faiths because Jesus is more _awesome_ , I pity you. Science didn’t exist as it did centuries and thousands of years ago, prophets had to do more wonders and miracles to convince each person to submit to God alone. Muhammad might have not done greater miracles than Jesus, but he made prophecies that go beyond the knowledge of what 7th century Arab men knew ( yaqeeninstitute.org/mohammad-elshinawy/the-prophecies-of-prophet-muhammad/ )
False prophets? “nUeTrAL pErSpEcTiVe”? You know that it doesn’t make sense for the final religion our faith to speak about false prophets, as it should be known to the people that this is it, any prophet after this would be false. But the Bible speaks in a language like “i...if...if a prophet comes, he’s false! Please don’t believe them..! **whining** “ as if they only want Jesus to die for their sins so that they have to do nothing for salvation.
The Holy Spirit spoke to you? tf? (John 16:12-14)
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when *He* , the Spirit of truth, has come, *He* will guide you into all truth; for *He* will not speak on *His* own authority, but whatever *He* hears *He* will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 *He* will glorify Me, for *He* will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
      1. How come the Holy Spirit (if it’s a God) doesn’t speak on its own authority, and has to hear in order to speak?
      2. When you talked to the Holy Spirit, did it tell you what is to come? Like Prophet Muhammad did yaqeeninstitute.org/mohammad-elshinawy/the-prophecies-of-prophet-muhammad/
      3. “I have many things to say unto you, BUT.....” this is clear-cut proof that Jesus didn’t speak every word God commanded him (unlike Moses), and left it to the “Spirit of truth” whom will speak the rest of what Jesus wanted to say.
3.a. (Notice how many times “He” is used to describe the spirit”)
You guys just like to drift and ignore the Quran because you have 50+ emotional arguments stacked up from watching Christian missionaries, 700+ false assumptions, and are not willing to learn or try to improve. So much for the spirit of *_truth_* to have talked to you personally, I must say...

@@halalguts6331 First of all, I don't really understand your need for being condescending and mocking. That's pretty childish, you should be pretty capable of having a discourses without mocking the person on the other end. Aside from that I will respond to the points I have time to.
I went to read the passage you quoted, and as you continue reading on to verse 15 it says "All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
      John 16:15
But I can understand why you would avoid putting that verse as Jesus claims that everything that is God's is his. Also the holy spirit is always referred to as "he" not "it". As for the prophecies and Scientific miracles you sent the link for. Many of them are pretty vague and are just reaching and twisting. In this case any religion can have claim to having this divine knowledge of the future if they just squint hard enough at their texts. Even going to the same verse you quoted in Isaiah 42 "This is what God the Lord says- the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it..."
      Isaiah 42:5
One of the most used arguments about Mohammed predicting the expansion of the universe has a similar Quran reference :/ . Imo it might just be me, but I feel like it's reaching to take versus for more than what they mean. There are also versus that are scientifically wrong, (surah 8, 6:7). So I think the whole Scientific area should just be dropped. That's not the part of Islam that actually compels me. As for the things you wrote about Isaiah 42, I haven't thoroughly read the chapter, so I'll get back to you once I'm able to understand it. Not sure if I responded to all of your points since I can't see your comment any more. Hope I did, God bless you and take care

      Surafel Yoseph
I apologize and retract my condescending manner of speech, but you’re still wrong.
I ignored the next verses in John 16 but you ignored the *fact* that the spirit of truth has to hear in order to speak (no authority) and the fact that Jesus says he has many things to say but leaves them to the Holy Spirit (Assuming the spirit of truth is the Holy Spirit)... Deuteronomy 18:15 says this prophet, who’s like Moses, shall speak all that God commands him. Is Jesus this prophet?
Muhammad peace be upon him spoke all that God commanded him.
Muhammad peace be upon made prophecies (Deuteronomy 18:18, John 16:14), not the Holy Spirit.
Muhammad peace be upon was the promised seed of Ishmael whom in Genesis was the great nation promise fulfilled.
Muhammad peace be upon is the servant (not the Lord) in Isaiah 42.
The prophecies are vague?huh? I urge you to reopen the link, those are Hadiths (speech of the Prophet) not the Quran. yaqeeninstitute.org/mohammad-elshinawy/the-prophecies-of-prophet-muhammad/
I never claimed scientific miracles in the Quran as proof for Islam. That’s a weak tactic used by Zakir Naik and other mainstream scholars. The Quran is a book given for the rest of humanity, you can’t have a single interpretation for every verse, meaning that verses can’t be miraculous if they’re vague. The Miracle is that it goes in line with today’s science, in the sense that there aren’t any scientific contradictions.
Surah 8 has a mistake? I think you meant 86:7 where it specifically talks about semen. It’s not a mistake, rather a misunderstanding of the language. Here’s a detailed explanation yahyasnow.wordpress.com/2009/08/23/quran-got-it-right-about-semen-production/ . Looks googled but I’ve read it. And as I’ve told you, it’s in line with science not a prediction for future science to progress, in my view.
_Dr. Maurice Bucaille who wrote a polemic book titled The Bible, Quran and Science effectively arguing that the Bible is incongruent to science on matters related to cosmology, geology and Noah’s flood whereas the Quran is in line with such matters (Bucaille and Fahim, 1977, p.96-143; Bucaille and Fahim, 1977, 152-157)._
Give me intellectual reasons as to why you reject Islam. I’ll give you 3 as to why I reject Christianity.
      1. Why would God reveal himself in an impossible and paradoxical manner. 3=1, 3 infinites in one. Jesus revealed as 100% man and 100% God, imperfect and perfect beings can’t coexist. If it was 50% of both I’d accept that. Issue here is that we have paradox + impossibility in One...
      2. How can God be omnipresent? Is Islam God is closer to us than our jugular veins but that doesn’t mean he exists everywhere (Hell as well?)
      3. How can God be All-loving? If you love everything then you don’t love anything at all. + all love entails maximal forgiveness, is the biblical God maximally forgiving when he sacrifices an innocent? (Ik you’ll say it was the plan all along but that just undermines the omnipotence and omniscience of God)
Im interested in hearing your intellectual objections to Islam (if you have any, as most just call us terrorists and pedophile followers)

The Quran is one of the most confused book of all time. There is no beginning or end to a story. FOr example, in the Old Testament, when God Yahweh made a contract with Abram, He changes Abram's name to Abraham, and His wife From Sarai to Sarah. That is in the Old Testament.
In the Quran, you will not find a story like this, but instead, you will see Abraham.
There are so many stories that does not make sense. So, to conclude, islam is a false religion, and allah is not Yahweh, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

First of all Moses didn’t write those books; you can see it at the end of the book of Deuteronomy, when the writer of it says that Joshua did did great things but nothing like the things Moses did; then the writer goes on to say, “and till this day, there hasn’t been anybody like him”; that doesn’t sound like a couple years after his death, but decades or centuries.
And if you are trying to say that god doesn’t let anybody add to his writings, the Book of Mormon proves you wrong.
When God says you have altered my law and goes on even to say that the pen of the scribe, has done it, he is clearly talking about the writings Moses did under his direction; it doesn’t matter how much many verses you find, that seem to help you prove your point.
Jeremiah himself could have thought the writings were perfect, until god revealed to him the truth.
And if you think Jeremiah had all those scrolls with him, you are dead wrong; those prophets didn’t have acces to those things; they were in the ark of the covenant, and only the high priest could get into the room where it was.

Those who say that the Bible (OT & NT) are corrupted, they must prove who corrupted them (and their motivations and goals of doing that at that time), when/what dates they were corrupted, where (what places/locations) were they corrupted, and how they were corrupted (stole all copies at those times, changed the texts and used same or similar inks to make it look like the original, returned them secretly so that no one noticed they were changed), etc. If they could not prove these points, these allegation was just pure invention in order to discredit the Bible and they should shut up.

Quran affirms that the original teachings of the Bible and Torah were inspired, but those were the originals. We don’t have the originals anymore and scholars believe we had between 300,000 and 400,000 different bibles. It’s an indisputable fact. The trinity did not even become practiced by the church until 3 centuries after Jesus, and it was spread by the Constantine who wasn’t even a Christian until he was on his death bed. Your scripture is corrupted and since we don’t have access to your original scripture, it would only make sense to go to the Quran which is complete and in tact.

Elisha oh shit. I’d didn’t think I’d run into someone who is smart and get destroyed... but I ain’t out of this yet old sport! You can’t beat the great mysterious boy (me). You see, he didn’t preserve the Old text because there was no need. Those were revelations for those periods of time. Prophet Moses was sent with a book and a set of miracles to handle magic. Jesus was sent for the children of Israel and it even says that in the Bible. They needed a mesiah for their time period. Finally, Prophet Mohammad was sent for our time. What do you guys have against him anyway? If you read and understand his life, you would see that he was a good man. He was offered all the wealth just to stop preaching the message, and he declined it. If he was after power, be could have easily took it. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see he was a great man, and even some other prophets like Jesus alluded to his arrival. Obviously, most of the gospels were burned, destroyed or hidden like the Gospel of Saint Thomas for instance. And by the way, there were some stories of Jesus like blowing clay birds to life that were in the gospel of Saint Thomas, so how exactly is that possible if we just discovered it recently. People who tried to believe the original message were thrown to the lions. But you wouldn’t know that. There are even verses in the Bible now that allude to it, however they are ambiguous. That Quran being changed is a load of bullshit also. There’s even evidence that it has not been changed if you look at the most recent discovery of a parchment of Quran carbon dated to 1400 years ago and when compared, it was the same meaning and the only thing changed was holding vowels a bit longer to make pronunciation easier. Same meaning. That video is a load of bullshit full of bias and uneducated people. Listen and watch a true Person who actually knows arabic. Christian prince is a man also that is guilty of pretending to know arabic. He supplies David wood with falsehood. If you look at the debate between David wood and Mohammed Hijab, it’s clear that David lost that one lol. You see, David wood is not good... haha that rhymes. I should make a song about that. Anyways, if you really want to watch a good Christian debater, find some that don’t lie because there are some legitimate good ones that are way better than David wood and don’t even have to lie to get the job done.

Elisha And alright. I’ll admit that this was a false statement to be fair. There were a mix of opinions at that time. Some churches believed in the trinity and some did not. There was a mix, but the council of Nicea was what ultimately enforced it. However, the issue still remains... it does not matter what people say. Jesus holds more weight and relevance in what he says than those others. The bottom line is that he himself never claimed divinity or claimed a trinity. That is the teachings of Paul. If you disagree, show me proof old sport.

So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.
