CHICKEN RUN, PS1: i don't have a nose review

- After 4 long, long months, a new review episode has finally hatched! This time, I'm taking a look at Chicken Run for the PS1 - a child-oriented stealth game released in accordance with the Aardman animation of the same name. Is the game as 'eggs-cellent' as its film counterpart?
Surprisingly, this game controls rather well. For the most part, you control Ginger, and occasionally switch to Rocky (very obviously not voiced by Mel Gibson), as well as the rats Nick and Fetcher, with the main objective to find and retrieve a number of items dotted around the farm and Tweedy household for use in Ginger's sometimes insane escape plans. I tell you, this crazy chicken is gonna see us all turned into pies long before the short-sighted Mrs Tweedy gets her hands on us.

The problem is that there's no nose 👃 shaped line on Mr tweedy's model plus his skin color blends in with the rest of his face making it hard to see 😑

I could never make it very far in this game, I was always terrified of Mrs Tweedy
I'm glad they did make a level out of the pie machine scene, since that whole scene felt like a video game anyway
Honestly, I think it's pretty challenging for a movie game! I like it, even though I'm terrible at stealth most of the time.

I never got the chance to play this game but I love the movie plus there may be a sequel but if the won’t have the original actors for ginger and rocky it might go south

So..........what could they realistically do for that recently announced "Chicken Run 2"? The best I can come up with is their chicken sencuary is threatened by "Insert Threat Here", and Ginger ain't got time fa dat. Oh and I guess Babs is still under the impression that she's on vacation?
Honestly, generally speaking, I do not like sequels. I can't really imagine what they'll do as the movie stands on its own. As much as I like it, I don't think it lends itself to a sequel, but who knows? They might surprise us.
@@idonthaveanose Fair enough. I mean they said they'd start production after "Farmageddon: A Shaun The Sheep Movie", and from the trailers for that movie, I thought it looked promising.
Yeah I thought it looked decent too! Usually Aardman make quality films so I've high hopes

I haven't got around to seeing Early Man, but I heard mediocre things about it. The trailer didn't really 'grab' me either.
this was my first ps1 game. still gives me nightmares.
I tried playing this on PC but the controls to move were linked to the W A S D keys which I never got the hang of and after getting caught by the stupid dogs and seeing their ugly ass face for the 15th time at the start I just rage quit

what a bit dissapointing is that all of the cutscene literally just nabbed from the movie, i was expecting them to make atleast one exclusive one cutscene that isnt from the movie
They at least had new dialogue scenes. Many movie games from this era didn't even have that.
