Man... I'm so glad you guys had fun. That is a fantastic place you are at. I have fished there for 32 years. Isn't it great when you hook them in daylight? I've found having someone chasing them through the holes like that really has the opposite affect then expected lol. Some of that tributary sits on Indian grounds as well! It is a Special place .. I'm assuming that was your first time fishing that particular spot. I hope that if you return it will only get more meaningful for you every year! One peace of advice!! Fight your fish you spent a lot of money to go catch it or them if you are lucky! I'd rather see you fight that fish too death than watch your friends chase your fish back to the lake . Or back to the real river. I hope that you explore the creek it is so much more than a gravel bed with a few salmon with hook chunks taken out of there backs! Brown trout ,salmon, rainbow trout wild and stoked, steelhead year round. So much more..
To be honest first time ever salmon fishing for me and defiantly not our last. Thank you for the advice on fighting longer I’ll defiantly apply that to next years strategies. We learned a lot this trip and hopefully keep learning more every year! Thank you again for reaching out with tips and trick!
