Chun-Li was so solid between X-Men vs SF to MvC thanks to her infinites and hit confirms into her supers. Her nerfs in MvC2 make her not very fun to play.

I don’t know if anybody knew this, but you can bind her lightning kicks as a one button special and the move comes out effortlessly. No more insane button mashing.
Do you even have to bind? Doesn’t the marvel collection basically have a built-in modern mode of sorts where you can do specials using either the trigger or the bumper and a direction?
But during combos, it has to be a controlled lightning kicks input, which macros can’t duplicate in any way. I mean it’s good that I can now assign macros to the anakaris supers with raging demon inputs, that helps immensely during combos, but not for certain kinds of special moves
@ I think you can assign it to specific buttons, I bought the physical copy, so I gotta wait for that to be released next week

When you hear Justin mashing during Chun's lightning kick super, that isn't to start the super. That is to get extra damage. A lot of characters with multi-hit supers do more damage if you mash any button during the animation. Its basically a trade off, get extra damage for destroying your fingers and the buttons.
I wish they'd do something like Ultra Marvel vs Capcom 2. I just want more MvC with sprites rather than 3D models. Expand the roster a bit, make some balancing changes, add some new supers and expand movesets to characters that need it. The usual super/ultra/arcade/turbo treatment.

A combination I used to play was Rogue, Iceman and Doom. The lack of a invincible DP was a problem but can play distance with Iceman or Doom.
When I was a kid I went to an arcade. Biggest arcade in the city up until they all disappeared. I’m walking around playing all the games and I see this game. It looks like so much fun so I pop in some quarters and started playing. Some sweaty 35 year old pops out from the darkness, smelling like piss. He of course Joins and destroys me.
I was thinking ok I’m just a kid and I wanted to play against cpu first but ok.
I walk away for a while and come back. Wouldn’t you know it, this dude just sat around until a kid puts money in and then he joins.

Wazzler is the Oro of MvC2. He fights with one arm tied behind his back to try to keep things almost fair.
Chun Li might be low teir but in the right hands (aka wazzler) she's got some serious movement. Clearly some strong rush down/mix up potential, even agaist magneto (king of rush down) with right assists.

so is it just me or is the "Capcom" side in marvel vs capcom quite underpowered?
the gods of the game are like storm, sentinel, magneto, and cyclops and cable seem to be the most popular "alternate options". Psylocke is a god assist, and. Iron man got that easy infinite, blackheart is there for spam, doctor doom is an assist god. Like the first Capcom characters I can think of are Tron and Cap-commando (assist)?
My 4-year-old daughter likes to run a team of Spider-Man, Morrigan, and Storm. How good or bad is that team? 😂
