Thank you again on teaching this week's lesson. We learn that God himself selects his prophet/spoke person. This person speaks God's truth. Thank you and Pastor Allen for your insight and clarity in teaching the lesson.
I thank God for Minister Allen and his thoughtful and biblical responses to questions posed to him. I would like to comment about his response to what we should look for in a true Christian leader. He summed this up as having someone that they submit to and bearing good fruit. I agree with the later, but not necessarily with the former (submission to someone or a group of people). I think true Christian leaders submit to God, not the board or anyone else. A true Christian leader that is submitted to God will not seek absolute power. They bear good fruits (the second trait mentioned by Minister Allen) such as love and humility because of their total submission to God. I am not saying that boards do not have a role in the Church. They play the important role of ensuring order and accountability, but they are humans, they are fallible. Therefore, defining true leadership as being submitted to boards is tricky. A true leader and all of us as God’s messengers submit to God, who is the infallible one. Minister Allen, I love and respect you, and I appreciate your service. I have learned a lot from listening to the wisdom that you impart with responses. May God continue to increase your wisdom as you help us better understand His Word.
Amen, thank you for your perspective! To clarify, Min. Allen said submitted in general, not necessarily just to a board. Depending on your context that submission could be to a board, a bishop, a creed, other peer leaders, a spiritual parent, the governing bodies of a denomination, or the congregation itself in addition to ultimate submission to the Lord of course. The Apostle Paul himself was submitted to the Lord, but took great care to submit himself to the other apostles in commissioning him at Jerusalem. We have unfortunately seen some instances where ministers do not submit to anyone and then end up being unaccountable or abusing their position which is what Min. Allen was addressing here. Thank you for that needed ask for clarity!
Once again a great lesson, a very good start for the month focusing on great leaders. By the way on last week Dr. Tolbert. I notice the purple attire. I gain so much from you and Minister Allen teaching. God bless.
In your prayer, you ended your prayer by stating " In his name, amen" Who is the " his name" ? Are your chosen words the way Jesus commanded believers to pray? As a Bible teacher on this program, your words count. So how you say things will cause others to believe that What you say must be the RIGHT WAY Even though it is WRONG!!! PLEASE correct and be BOLD about it thank you.
Good Morning Ms. Dottie, I'm not sure if you heard the phrase prior in that prayer but it was "In the name of Jesus Christ, the word made flesh, it is in His name we pray. Amen" I was intentional as we always are about praying in the name of Jesus, the phrasing just had it come out with "His name" at the end because of the previous phrase, it was all one sentence. We hope that is helpful!
@@SundaySchoolMadeSimple Again and again i see the same rebellion by you females, do you all just cherry pick holy scriptures. A woman is to be silence", suffer not a woman to teach", And not to have authority over man. you most likely know the rest of this passage but skip over it. go teach females at home in a group setting making sure there is no man present. My god made man first and for himself" then made woman from man and for man, just in case you didn't know this amazing truth". i'm fed up of the jezebel paula white's in so-called church".
hi, i had a problem where i thought i could talk for God on facebook, but i deleted it. I was trying to act all spiritual to show off, but i don't have those gifts like that. I somehow, had all kinds of stuff coming after me and then i eventually had some kind of break down, where I had some sexual immorality and i went and i went on facebook account and said earthquake....God is going to half of America. etc. (now, im crying out to God asking Him if He will forgive me). and trying to seek His Spirit. Do you have any advice. Can you help me to understand what i did vs the unpardin sin.
There is no sin or anything else that can keep you from God's love and forgiveness if you seek Him. When you ask God for forgiveness if you are sincere, you are forgiven right then! Now you need to find a good Bible based church near you and be in community with other believers!
