Such wonderful stuff from the days of 1950's radio in the old British colonies who were supplied with great but zany English comedies! These crazy shows bring warm memories of my childhood in Jamaica. Thank you to those who found these old shows and put them on TH-cam. More please!!
Good old steam radio, just sit around listening intently and then doing take offs at school, just a magic time, imagination, sound and above all comedy.
I used to have 10 inch copy of unchained melodies that an uncle gave me. The use of stereo as spike walked from one speaker to another used to blow me away. Simple times. Hancock, round the horn. Old beeb radio comedy is as good as it gets. Thank you to all who take the time to post it for us, and anyone thumbing down deserves punch up the bracket!
+Andy Allom My dad was in the Hancock's Half Hour and worked with all those guys. Bill Kerr. He died last year and had had a wonderful career and we got to grow up in London in the 60's. Our school got to be sort of famous in Lindsay Anderson's cult classic "IF" and we got to be in it as ourselves. It's about a violent revolution at a Public school and Malcomb McDowl got his character for his next film, A Clockwork Orange, in one particular scene in IF. Well that's the story anywho. I liked what you said and next time I'll give YOU a punch up the brackets! Hick Hack Hock. I'm getting quite definite purple vibrations! This blokes getting on my nerves. Now Sydney just because the East Cheam poetry society has it's weekly meeting in my flat............YOUR FLAT? Now that's enough of that Sydney please we are trying to get in touch. In touch with what? With what! With what, Sydney, with what! Wished I'd been a script writer. Cheers.

I have this on a BBC vinyl LP, it and Dishonoured on the other side are two of their best.
