What is the effect of earth magnetic field?
Electron beam,s path will vary accordingly. So we want the flow of electrpn beam parallel to the directipn of magnetic field

Sir e/m value is not in minus its positive only sir
It is a matter of convention dear. Proceed with positive value and perform your calculations accordingly in other parts of science. In both ways it could be imagine and dealt with.
Field is not homogeneous it will introduce too much errors in measuring the field
But it gives the same field which is at the center of the wooden bridge.
