Checking out my neighbor's pond with all the plumbing finished and initial rocks in. Hopefully a good reference if you're looking to do something similar.
External bog filters like that work really well too, great idea on the stock tank! I have seen a lot of build like that but don't have any personal experience with them.
What you need will depend on the pump model you select. My neighbor and I have the same pump and in our case we use 1.25" ID flexible PVC also sold as "spa tubing" from local big box hardware stores. Around here 25' is about $115. This fits directly onto the largest quick coupler that is packaged with our pump.
would be much easier and cheaper to use perforated land drain than flex pvc as the pipe is flexible cheaper and already has slits in it perfect for your bog
The thing is you don't want slits for the entire run, so you'd have to work out how to connect the ADS drain pipe to the check valve . All the drainage pipe I've seen is corregated so there'd be some figuring out to do on that connection.
Rocks, water and plastic jumble.
awesome! I used my bog filter a stock tank even my pond bcoz its really hard to dig here I live here in vegas

Its beautiful thank you for sharing God bless you always have a beautiful day
Can you post a link to the plastic vault in the intake bay? I'd like to learn more about it
This is pretty similar to what I bought when I built the pond: Little Giant SF 31-Gallon a.co/d/18uecAZ
Is the flexible PVC inside diameter 2" or 3" ?

ozponds recommends using a breather pipe in the bog instead of a check valve since they can fail, have you experienced the check valve ever failing?
I've gone a few years without a failure but it is possible. Most important thing is accounting for a power failure whether a breather or check valve.
