I like how this anime doesn't feel the need to spoon-feed you with excessive exposition. Also, it's refreshing to see an anime with a protagonist who is NOT in high school!
I obsessed with the anime because after watching it multiple times I noticed how "well detailed and well crafted it is" and of course being highly unique in both storytelling and what its willing to show.
Galneryus alone is enough reason to enjoy this soundtrack. But yes, it is definitely a music geek's ost. I've gone out of my way to learn a few by ear lol
I don't understand why this anime is rated so lowly on imdb, myanimelist, etc. Sure, some parts are porn, but so are parts of Game of Thrones. The stories are all interesting, and it was a really enjoyable anime imo.
CornishCreamtea07 When I finished watching a 10 minute video about the house of comments, I felt mature as fuck. Then again, it was a funny clips montage, and I was 15 at the time, but hey.
Well, when I read other reviews talking about the torture and sex, I assumed it was just some random anime for garnering attention. Boy, was I wrong. I was actually taken on a dark trip I rather enjoyed.
I feel like something to note is that they literally told the future when Rin referenced 2015 being a good year for burgundy. The Burgundy wine from 2015 apparently ended up being one of the best years for burgundies (pinot noir) and was cited as being one of the great vintages of the current century. Easy to search up, but I thought that it was wild. Great anime and I'm glad that I watched it!
This is actually a really fair and well executed review, in my opinion; I'm going to have to watch more of your anime reviews. You explain its strong and weak points well without giving any spoilers. I can appreciate the fact that you reiterated how everything in the anime has meaning that ties back into the same themes without giving your interpretation of those themes (thus giving everyone else a chance to consider it for themselves). I don't think it's hard for people to figure out what it's supposed to be about, though, with the word Mnemosyne in the title and the frequent appearance of the time fruits that look like egg cells full of impossibly visible DNA. Heck, even the opening lyrics give an abstract look into the main concept. As a biologist I can't completely agree with everything they are saying, but they are quite astute and largely spot on with what they are trying to depict.
Wrong. Vodka does not mean water, it means vodka. However, the Russian word for water is voda, and it's very easy to get the two confused in conversation if you're not a native Russian speaker.
Ian Babcock, as a native Russian speaker, I confirm. In fact, there's no way I would mix up "vodka" and "voda" despite of just a suffix "k". They feel totally different to me, maybe like "quite" and "quiet".
I know this is old comment but this is the exact reason why I love the anime to the point where I'm semi- obsessed with it. Its clear that creators of this anime try to give in all in this anime. They also knew they most likely won't make another anime like this again.
Go to wikipedia and look up Mnemosyne the personification of memory in Greek mythology. a Pronunciation should be listed there and there are several other places that say the same thing.
Dude you have been smashing reviews for so long, it's unbelievable. Always delighted when I want to look up so random anime and there's a Glass Reflection episode on it.
Rin - Daughters of Mnemosyne. The show is dark it's fucking dark, it's fucking in the dark, preferably with a sword and despite all of that... it's quite enjoyable...
My bf and I found this on Netflix a little over a year ago and found it to be enjoyable. The animation is great, but, like you said, gets almost distressingly good around the torture scenes. I'd still recommend it though.
totally freaking loved this anime. It was something was interesting and definitely new and not usually seen in animation works. Not to say other animes never had the blood, gore, and sexual themes rin presents.....only that Rin presents these specific things in a way (although uneasy for some viewers) other animes within the same circle failed to accomplish. Which is why i believe this anime stands out in a highly positive and successful way. Cons: Too darn short dude xD
Fun Fact: Mnemosyne is the greek goddess of memoirs, but is in no greek legends herself so no one actually remembers her. My schools yearbook is named after her as well.
Just watched the 1st episode of this. OMG. This was not expected. Things that are talked about but not done in other shows (including IRL detective type) are acted on. The sadistic doctor and her torture techniques ("how many holes in the human body? 10. Let's try to make more." Then proceeded to make 11). The MC who doesn't make any attempt to wound a advisory but violently kill. She is Rambo hard-core.
I loooooved rin. As soon as I heard Colleens voice as Rin I was so happy, she's a great VA. The piercing scene though? Yeah.. My husband had to leave the room LOL Great review :)
Such a great show. I had a hard time adjusting to the flipped video. Might be too familiar with it. I have so much respect for the Japanese for having the balls to "go there", especially this day in age.
hi! i'm wondering if i should watch it or not and it's never explicitely said so i'm asking you instead since your comment is not that old: i know there's a lot of sexual themes in this anime, but can we see the characters' private parts? or are they censored? i really don't want to see that so i'd appreciate any answer, really 😭🙏🏻
I somehow just found this brilliant anime last week. I was blown away by the concept, as well as the attention to detail in the settings. It vastly exceeds most anime released these days. My only complaint is that i didn't find it sooner. I hate that i missed out on this gem for so long.
Ha ha, I was a bit young when I watched this in high school. I remember getting a raised eyebrow from my friend when he saw the genre tags. I remember the Vodka bit.
3 years ago, when my brother ask me what Rin's about... I told him "torture porn with a plot"... Never thought I'd hear someone who uses the same term for it.
1:15 Interesting how much things have changed in the past eight years. Well, arguably the traditional networks haven't changed that much - but the original series of streaming services definitely have raised the bar.
Honestly? This series was not nearly as graphic as I expected from this review. Oh, the nudity is practically non-stop, don't get me wrong. But I was expecting a lot more gore. People being shot or stabbed isn't honestly that big a deal on the spectrum of graphic violence. Even when Rin had to recover from a point-blank explosion, the really gory bits were shrouded in shadow so all you could see was the outline of her blasted open ribs and entrails. All I'm saying is that I've seen much more graphic violence in older animes. Hell, I've seen more graphic violence in recent animes. Overall, though, I liked the show for the characters. I just wish the plot didn't devolve into such a mess at the end. I was hoping that things would be tied up a little cleaner, but the last episode just dumps so much mystical jargon all at once that I ended up getting lost. It's a back-loaded plot dump, and I've never been fond of that sort of thing.
I don't review shows that are ongoing. I may give my first impressions from time to time, but never review. My of my things about anime is that the Ending is Paramount, therefore I cannot properly judge a show without seeing it's ending. There will be a Titan review eventually though I promise you.
I loved this anime. I saw it on Netflix forever ago, and ended up buying it. It was a good show :3 and I actually really liked the sexual themes and the violence.. as a 28 year old adult who has seen plenty to not be offended over such themes, I thought it was refreshing compared to the.... rather bright and cheery innocent anime’s where the worst thing that could happen to someone is locked up in a cage and licked by a creepy guy (SOA 🙄).
Same here, I love this anime because of the immortality while being sexual and violence (while clearly having BDSM/sadomasochism theme) but what I love about it the most is how well made the anime is crafted with proper storytelling and most of all its protagonist which is Rin Asogi. In my opinion Rin Asogi is the best immortal woman in anime, probably the best immortal character in fiction. However whats a total bummer for me is that the anime is only 6 episodes and its the only content outside of the anime is a light novel which is almost impossible to find. I personally wanna see more of this anime content especially Rin Asogi. My most favorite episode is the first episode because the episode did a fantastic job at introducing the main protagonist Rin Asogi who is an immortal woman that seeks pleasure and bizarre situations that leads her to detective 🕵️♂️ lifestyle. On top of this incase you haven't noticed it the episode also makes the viewers that Rin asogi is VERY self-aware about her beauty and her perfect immortality which is why the episode starts with Rin's first sexy death scene and of course the entire episode leads up to the torture scene (which is the climax of the episode) Rin asogi put herself into dangerous situations on purpose because she is self aware about her abilities and strengths, thats why I love Rin Asogi ♥.
Streamed the first episode based on your recommendation; loved it so much I bought it right away. It arrived today three hours ago and i just finished episode 3. Thank you. Literally I couldn't love you more right now; I've been looking for new shows since I've finished everything else I watch and you've been such a massive help
To comment on the intro, more commonly the first 2 minutes some seconds; Thats because major american networks stubbornly believe that all animation is and forthright be made only and for the younger viewing audience and any animation containing questionable factors is simply bastardizing *_thier_* point about how all animation should be made one way... thats *_thier_* ideal... Narrowminded right? Well thats only half the truth, its about, you guessed it! $$$ Why? cause kids watch tv the most which means more moolah. They are hiding behind fake moral standards like the other excuse;"well thats just how its always been done so its tradition..." More like something else other than narrowminded... We see it all the time now, thats morally upsetting. Wake up people.
+Omniman8th It is also partly a form of censorship. You hear a lot of stories about far right and/or religious groups attempting to censor or ban books, tv, you name it, all in the name of that bloody word, "morality". Or if that won't fly, "Think of the children!", despite the fact that it is the responsibility of parents to vet what their kids come into contact with, and we have you know, age ratings and other things as helpful little indicators on mature content. I hate censorship in all its forms, it holds us back as a species.
This s why I love these Anime Reviews by GRArkada, Gigguk, and HoldenReviews. I seriously wish I can meet you guys and get some ideas of Anime Reviews or PodTaku. You guys especially you GRArkada are awesome.
I encountered this gem on netflix and I put it in my top 10 anime shows that I completely adore. After going through the series at least once I have been sold and the next time I see this on a shelf, it will be coming home to mine. I loved this series and all reasons were covered in this review.
I'll give this an 8/10. I really loved the series but there was only two personal disapointments 1) I was hoping for Rin and Mimi to be an actual yuri couple rather than them being with other people. 2) As much as I found Apos's sadistic mentality thrilling, I think they should have at least give him one little redeeming quality, like the "Even evil has loved ones" trope where him and a masochistic immoratal that loves him have a twisted romantic "unholy matromony" bond. I was thinking Laura would be something like this to him but nope.
***** I was mostly neutral but I leaned towards the shiki side, mainly sense there was more characters I liked alot on that side than the human side. In the human side I liked: Toshio, Natsuno, and Kaori In the shiki side I liked: Seishin, Sunako, Tatsumi, Seishiro, Tohru and Nao I like both the anime and the manga but I wish in both they had more interactions between Tatsumi and Sunako.
Without question my favorite anime. The anime had such a great storyline, and is one of the few shows that was unpredictable for me. Also. I like how it doesn't use its fucked up content to simply shock (Like Elfen Lied), and uses it to advance the story, not just to shock.
Very good series, my highlight was when rin got pregnant by the man she loved for 1000 years and finally able to express that love. Only faults is length could of used an extra 2 episodes also how everything was resolved in the last 10 minutes as well as all of humanity becoming immortal at some point in the future. Although I wonder if akamatsu-sensei was inspired by this series to do uq holder. Because groutese torture porn is right up his street, also kyojin has more than proved that gore can sell.
So I know this review is 11 years old now but I watched it a little while back (I think you mentioned it in your Higurashi review) and just watched Rin this week based purely of this review and really enjoyed it!
Yea, but I think he means, and I agree, that it'd be really interesting for you to review games, because you're a very insightful and intelligent person
also for the thing on violence id say the walking dead. that is the only show i've watched in a long time so if there are worse tell me. (when i say a long time i have not watched t.v. since spongebob when i was 7-8 like 5-6 years ago)
ReadingsteinerZ ya i ment graphic violence so YA... how bad is game of thrones. like manhunt bad (i'm refering to a game that was band in lots of countrys because of how graphic it was. i'm a gamer #final fantasy
Sephiroth J.R. Well Manhunt is technically a game in which I haven't really played. Most of the gore in GoT comes from throat slashing and decapitations ad the occasional shot on an intestine here and there. In the Walking Dead most of the violence is mainly kept on an r rated level like no more violent than something like Dawn of the Dead or 28 weeks later. On thing though is that the violence in GoT isn't as excessive but when someone dies, it is done very graphically. The reason why GoT is more graphic than TWD is because of the context and the setting. In Walking Dead most of the violence is between humans and walkers. In GoT, the world of Westeroes is a dismal place to be in with kings that are not hesitant in torturing millions of people, wars being enacted amongst the different houses etc. Not to mention no one is safe in GoT. Pets, children, babies are being killed like cannon fodder at times in that show. You won't see that in Walking Dead (unless they've turned into a zombie). Its also worse than RIN because of that.
Game of Thrones aired 4 years after this came out (I don't care when the book came out, thats invalid), also Game of Thrones is only available on HBO exclusively which is a premium access channel which usually shows theatrical releases, up to an R-Rating.
yea i agree its sad how the market is nowadays. i love anime but only the adult themed dark anime thats not for kids, sadly they are pumping out shitloads of shitty anime now that has fan service and little 12 year old girls running around crying its so horrible but idiots keep buying it so they keep making it, we need more adult anime with great stories and characters.
I was scrolling through the Anime section on Netflix on my Wii at 1 this morning and found this and actually considered it for a bit. when I was watching this review, you had me sold when you said that Rin was voiced by Colleen Clinkenbeard, and I am a huge fan of hers (insert manly fan girl squeal here). While we're on the topic, my favorite of her roles has to be Erza from Fairy Tail.
I can handle gore and sexual themes but I can't watch rape or have a scene dedicated to it. I don't mind if other people like it, just personally I can't emotionally handle it yet.
I just finished watching this anime today and I personally really enjoyed it. I didn't find it that gorey if you ask me, Elfen Lied was way more gorier...the torture scenes were also quite tame compared to ..let's say Higurashi. The sexual side of it I found it quite good as well (Rin is quite the looker), but it wasn't as sexual as many claim it to be but eh that's just me. With that said, I'm really glad that I watched this review and went ahead and watched it so thanks for the recommendation.
*_* I blame you Arkada, you made me watch this, and I loved it. Even in the context of this show you cannot believe how much of a relief it was to see that someone could actually put in a sexual element, particularly this extreme, and have it tie in in a sensible way. Not to steal your line, but 'stay frosty' my friend.
I must say that I love your new intro-with the symbolic animes you have reviewed and "Glass Reflection" featured at the end. Very simple yet really fitting ^^
I can tell you this: I've seen most of the anime that you mentioned, along with Blood-C, which is quite a lot more gory than any of them, but this show really got under my skin. So to summarize, the violence is not what would turn people off this show, it's the sexual themes.
you know i just love this guys reviews more than gigguk more than fornever world or yokurama there's just something he has in these that they others don't have idk but another great review best anime reviewer u_u
+JonesyMcDanes Would you really want more though? This was an original series, not based off of anything, and I think it paced itself really well. A unique anime. But it would not be as good if it outstayed its welcome or we ever got too used to its original elements.
Sam Hickey You know I've made that same comment to other people since making this one. Also after much dilatation and reflection I begrudgingly made this anime my favorite piece of entertainment media ahead of my favorite song and book.
having more memories than normal mortals is enough to make one feel the pains of an immortal, whether from a too eventful life or a too good memory. Obviously, if one is immortal, then memories become a very significant thing - more specifically, the biggest source of pain... In all cases of too much memories, memories change perception, the deeper the memories, the more deep the perception, in whatever way the memories are formed... if not make anything more painful, then the loaded nature of all perception would make life really, really tiring no matter what... I think that's why it's called Daughters of Mnemosyne... Now I just have to start watching this series...
GRArkada I love your reviews, they are obejectively done, and often don't spoil or give too much away. They're like great previews. I've watched couple of your reviews and damn it, it's about time I subscribe *subscribe* I wish I've done this earlier!
my favorite thing about the title cards are when you pause in the middle of when they skim through the letters. ah, yes, my favorite category: ZNK YUATJ, i really enjoyed the ZNK YUATJ in this anime.
Thanks for this review, I really love finding more mature anime. I think I almost started watching this series a few years ago but totally forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder, just finished the first episode.
I am very glad that you enjoyed the show, when I bought my personal copy of the anime I picked it up because the little plot summary on the back of the Blu-Ray case seemed interesting enough to warrant a purchase, that same day I went home and watched it and I was slightly disturbed by some parts but I found it quite awesome, after I saw it I knew it was a review that I wanted to see you do and I am glad I sent it to you with Hydra-264. -Dark_Crow_I(Dark Crow the First)
I feel like giving you a rec for a reverse harem or maybe K Project because I would love to see your view on the more girl's fanservice focuse side of anime XD
PLEASE review 11eyes! It is a amazing anime, but does not gain the respect it deserves and is highly underrated. I think you would love the anime, and your opinion may grow some popularity around it. Cheers!
I thoroughly enjoyed this show. It's a nice break from a lot of the other shows I've seen recently. The time lapses were great, and while each episode's plot was its own, they all tied together in the end. And, not to mention, the old Galneryus was awesome.
I like how this anime doesn't feel the need to spoon-feed you with excessive exposition. Also, it's refreshing to see an anime with a protagonist who is NOT in high school!
As a professional musician, let me say the music in this show is totally underappreciated. I've rewatched it several times for only its iconic music.
I've gone out of my way to learn a few by ear lol

i love how you see in the commets all these kids who are like ' Oh well i watched it and im ( age ) im so cool! '
That's how kids minds work, I remember how mature I thought I was when I first saw Terminator.
CornishCreamtea07 I rmbr how mature i thought I was when i first watched P*** but I didn't dly liked it that much...... What I rly liked was Hen**i

I liked it. I like the format of 6 48 minute shows instead of 12 24 minute shows.
Wrong. Vodka does not mean water, it means vodka. However, the Russian word for water is voda, and it's very easy to get the two confused in conversation if you're not a native Russian speaker.

Rin is one of my favorite shows, by far. I've re-watched it multiple times always finding new details that only add to the fantastic story.

i cannot count all of the times i had to take a porn break to calm down
Relly?, i enjoyed the action in it and the great story telling. That kept me watching it even in it's darkest moments.
Phantom Bulter no, i liked the action and the story. i meant the borderline hentai scenes made me take porn breaks
I respect all opinions, I guess since I've watched a few dark anime it doesn't bother me.
+opsonicfan358 Lol, you had to wind down through porn to evade the shock of jumping straight to no hentai...
EclipsedArchon more so to deal with the frustration from the lack of hentai

If you release it as "Rin - Daughters of Torture Porn", it would sell pretty well I suppose xD
I loved this anime it was definitely a breath of fresh air from what I feel the anime community is use to seeing.
The way ark describes the shows "graphic content" reminds me off Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange
Used to see this air on adult swim (I think) when I would stay up late as a kid. Thought it was a fever dream until now lol.
i like this guy :3 best anime reviewer ive seen so far! keep it up dude
Half right, the anime is Baccano, however the character is Dallas Genoard voiced by Ian Sinclair, and not Ladd Russo voiced by Bryan Massey.
Mimi: STAY AWAY FROM MY VODKA!

Is it weird that I come back to this review just to hear your "warning" in the opening. Sometimes your enthusiasm makes you do awesome voices. :D

Literally I couldn't love you more right now; I've been looking for new shows since I've finished everything else I watch and you've been such a massive help
To comment on the intro, more commonly the first 2 minutes some seconds;
Thats because major american networks stubbornly believe that all animation is and forthright be made only and for the younger viewing audience and any animation containing questionable factors is simply bastardizing *_thier_* point about how all animation should be made one way...
thats *_thier_* ideal...
Narrowminded right?
Well thats only half the truth, its about, you guessed it! $$$ Why? cause kids watch tv the most which means more moolah. They are hiding behind fake moral standards like the other excuse;"well thats just how its always been done so its tradition..."
More like something else other than narrowminded...
Thank god you didn't mention that carappy anime called Gantz.
These two anime are actually pretty similar. Well because there both very gory and sexual. o(^-^o)(o^-^)o
This is on my to-buy list after watching through the entire series in one day. WHOAH!!!
Arkada, Mnemosyne is pronounced Nem-oh-seen.
I'm sorry, but it's driving me nuts.
no, i'm pretty sure he said it correctly.
I encountered this gem on netflix and I put it in my top 10 anime shows that I completely adore. After going through the series at least once I have been sold and the next time I see this on a shelf, it will be coming home to mine. I loved this series and all reasons were covered in this review.
I'll give this an 8/10. I really loved the series but there was only two personal disapointments
1) I was hoping for Rin and Mimi to be an actual yuri couple rather than them being with other people.
***** Thanks ^^ It's Sunako from Shiki
Saiyori Still waiting for the day that GR does a Shiki review. ; -;
***** I have the anime series and I've read the manga. I love the philosophy behind it and most of the major characters.
***** I was mostly neutral but I leaned towards the shiki side, mainly sense there was more characters I liked alot on that side than the human side.
In the human side I liked: Toshio, Natsuno, and Kaori
In the shiki side I liked: Seishin, Sunako, Tatsumi, Seishiro, Tohru and Nao
I like both the anime and the manga but I wish in both they had more interactions between Tatsumi and Sunako.
Saiyori Loved the show! Does anyone know any similar animes?
P.S. Thanks for letting me know you were putting this review up ahead of time so I didn't possibly miss seeing it today
GENTA IS AN IMMORTAL.
x17Chimera yeah i was always annoyed how they never explained that
Without question my favorite anime.
Because groutese torture porn is right up his street, also kyojin has more than proved that gore can sell.
thats some major spoilers I think lol
screw your spoilers...
Brian Adams yus
So I know this review is 11 years old now but I watched it a little while back (I think you mentioned it in your Higurashi review) and just watched Rin this week based purely of this review and really enjoyed it!
Wish you did games
I sort of do. I have a twitch channel where I play games every Tuesday for 3 hours. You should check it out! twitch.tv/grarkada
Yea, but I think he means, and I agree, that it'd be really interesting for you to review games, because you're a very insightful and intelligent person
I dig all the new touches in the show man. Good stuff. The new GR sign is something I'm going to have to live with, but the rest is great.
01:47-02:05
Umm there's already been a show that have shown scenes like that. Its called Game of Thrones.
also for the thing on violence id say the walking dead. that is the only show i've watched in a long time so if there are worse tell me. (when i say a long time i have not watched t.v. since spongebob when i was 7-8 like 5-6 years ago)
Sephiroth J.R.
Walking Dead is mostly just graphic violence but theres little to no torture sequences unlike GoT or this anime.
One of my favorite anime reviewed on my birthday! Couldn't be happier, another awesome review.
yea i agree its sad how the market is nowadays. i love anime but only the adult themed dark anime thats not for kids, sadly they are pumping out shitloads of shitty anime now that has fan service and little 12 year old girls running around crying its so horrible but idiots keep buying it so they keep making it, we need more adult anime with great stories and characters.
I bought rin daughters of Mnemosyne on DVD and I think it’s top ten awesome
You don't know the definition of "fucked up" until you've seen this anime.
TOTALLY
Boku no Pico exists. As well as 177013
I was scrolling through the Anime section on Netflix on my Wii at 1 this morning and found this and actually considered it for a bit. when I was watching this review, you had me sold when you said that Rin was voiced by Colleen Clinkenbeard, and I am a huge fan of hers (insert manly fan girl squeal here).
While we're on the topic, my favorite of her roles has to be Erza from Fairy Tail.
I just need to know if there is rape. I don't mind sexual stuff or torture but I can't do the combination.
Yeah there is .Like he said this is a VERY MATURE Anime...like almost aldult only.
But the plot is worth it IMO
I can handle gore and sexual themes but I can't watch rape or have a scene dedicated to it. I don't mind if other people like it, just personally I can't emotionally handle it yet.
+Phantom Bulter watched it on Netflix when I was 10
+Elliot Johns congratulations. your parents didn't care.
Don't you hate when you find and interesting show, and then you can't watch it before everyone else goes to bed?
I just finished watching this anime today and I personally really enjoyed it.
I didn't find it that gorey if you ask me, Elfen Lied was way more gorier...the torture scenes were also quite tame compared to ..let's say Higurashi.
The sexual side of it I found it quite good as well (Rin is quite the looker), but it wasn't as sexual as many claim it to be but eh that's just me.
With that said, I'm really glad that I watched this review and went ahead and watched it so thanks for the recommendation.
What!? So this is not a BDSM hentai? Darn!
Does it contain yuri? 'Cause the video made it seem like there is.
ChromaLuke Well. No one else answered. So, I will.
... yes. Yes, it does...
JerichoDeath SWEET! I'll go watch it then!
'Vodka' is 'Water' in Russia, you know!
ChromaLuke, actually not quite true. Vodka means vodka and water means voda.
I had to pause the video to tell you, while I understand this is an older video you have absolutely amazing editorial skills. Good day. 😊
Do anime review about vampire knight
I must say that I love your new intro-with the symbolic animes you have reviewed and "Glass Reflection" featured at the end. Very simple yet really fitting ^^
If anyone thinks this is bad. Try True Blood or Spartacus. Yea........
are those even animes?
LordVader1094 no
LordVader1094 no
I can tell you this: I've seen most of the anime that you mentioned, along with Blood-C, which is quite a lot more gory than any of them, but this show really got under my skin. So to summarize, the violence is not what would turn people off this show, it's the sexual themes.
oops I watched it. Twice and im a teen XD
Bro, I ain't gonna lie. I think your face is perfect for a meme, especially the transitions between 10:07 and 10:16
Oops I watched it. . . I'm thirteen
I watched it. I'm 11. Pfft. I never liked this so-called innocence.
You have a good point there.
9 I win
Thomas Curry *claps* Now you have to watch Corpse Party and Elfen Lied. If you haven't, that is.
If you couldn't tell WHAT I SAID BEFORE WAS.... BuuuuuuuuuuuuuullSHIT
I personally loved this show. I loved how everything was connect and how it dealt with complicated themes.
you know i just love this guys reviews more than gigguk more than fornever world or yokurama there's just something he has in these that they others don't have idk but another great review best anime reviewer u_u
I must say this has made it into my top five and god damn does it suck that there isn't more. Also that intro and outro grows on you heavily.
Dr Dobotnik's kid gives a solid review.
Bro you just gained a subscriber, that was really nice to watch and listen to!
Your brand new review is brand new man, i love it! :D
You've updated your opening, nice! :D And I've seen the first episode out of curiosity...this anime held back no punches.
my favorite thing about the title cards are when you pause in the middle of when they skim through the letters.
ah, yes, my favorite category: ZNK YUATJ, i really enjoyed the ZNK YUATJ in this anime.
Thanks for this review, I really love finding more mature anime. I think I almost started watching this series a few years ago but totally forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder, just finished the first episode.
Extremely well put together review, subbed!
-Dark_Crow_I(Dark Crow the First)
Rin is one of my favorite shows, this review made my day
Aw yes you put a clip of Baccano in your review. Also, good review as usual. :)
Cheers!
One of the best endings I have ever seen for an anime when everything just comes together :D
Also Galneryus is BOSS.
As soon as I saw this on the shelf at my local comic book store a few years ago I bought it right away. Didn't regret it.
I really like the new title card sequence Arkada, great job/review! :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this show. It's a nice break from a lot of the other shows I've seen recently. The time lapses were great, and while each episode's plot was its own, they all tied together in the end. And, not to mention, the old Galneryus was awesome.
