Super great video. The commentary from the script was slightly monotone at points, but it got made up for with the great information and humor as the video went on. As someone who's been on DK since 2017 and participates in high end NA pvp scene, this was super well done. I like how spacing was explained, it's more of a fighting game concept which is perfect because BDO is more of a Fighter than an MMO. Some advanced concepts that I didn't see are right angle Smoky Haze usage (WS or WD instead of just W), this maintains angular movement without sacrificing camera movement so you can keep your target on screen. Smoky Haze can be curved with the camera as well to allow C-Dashing and non linear movement. Nocturne can obviously be stalled, but if you choose to Nocturne stall without any inputs, you retain the awakening state. This can be used as a feint to pop out of Nocturne with a Seed or other Awakening ability. Not the most practical in a large scale setting, but it can open some people up that are expecting D or S version. Air Strike part two hit (the Bound) can be mouse-moved to hit a target that has barely slipped out of range. It's mechanically difficult though and risky, but can be the difference maker in a 1v1 scenario. You may or may not have figured some of these out since this video is from 8 months ago, but just figured I'd share some tips I've learned over the course of time! Much love

i am! im a bit jaded with the class for pvp atm. its actually pretty decent in pve and amazing for black shrine. i'm working on updating the guide. unfortunely i don't think i have time to wait to see if they buff it for pvp so i'm pushing forward with the update
twilight dash gets more hits in at higher fps. more hits, more damage. old multi hit skills tend to have this characteristic. might change later down the road. hope that explains it

hybrid backline and flank this sounds dumb, but i think playing a support role is the best way to go currently. adk damage pressure is not good unless i've picked up wind buff, flame or 100% bsr then it is possible to turn on the aggression. i cover a general approach in the aos video, but some of the concepts are a bit different as i continue to test different things in the preseason. i'll make another video when the regular season starts, most of the ideas are very solid though. the potato list would be: 1. hard cc to cover engages or peel for backline 2. soft cc and zoning. 3. combo debuff with trap and legacy and drop second cc
@@bushidoGF thank you for asking my opinion about succ dk, but i only have knowledge with just enough experience understand the capabilities lol. with offin tet 257 ap bracket and high base damage, it is significantly better than awakening. the play style is similar to sorceress, however, succ dk doesn't have the macro movement weakness and trades this for imperfect s. assuming one is deciding which version of dk to play: awakening for flexibility and teamplay. succession for outplays and solo potential. definitely play what you fancy though. succ and awaken are in a good spot with skill expression.

I've heard succ fills the gaps in PvE content I'm missing a toon for since I have hard high end covered with sorc and one shot low end covered with a V tuvala geared musa. People tell me DK is really good for tanky high end mobs that you don't need a ton of survivability to grind.
right now, succ dk is flat out better in pve and pvp in all aspects of the game. awakening dk is good, but i'd have to put out alot more apm to not even keep up and have more gear :
the only skill i lock is evasion and overlord. if you are misinputting frequently i would lock, the skill thats causing you issues that you don't use. the key inputs for awakening dk is very good so you can leave everything unlocked if you are precise with keys and cd management.
Took two years to cobble together. It's not perfect, but hopefully if there is another Awakening Dark Knight out there, they can build upon the information and make a better one ^_^

@No Juice Viscosity I play on console and have a few montages. But DK has always interested me and I just tagged it. First RBF with her had 480 points on a 1300 point game. My 317ap is definitely suited for her haha
I play archer and it feels like i picked the wrong class. Like i looked at some other classes and archer is just trash and needs much more practice than most classes. Dk looks so op she is even protected in FULL DMG combos. Archer is not. She has 10000 dashes that are protected and have i frames. So much cc. Blockjump all that. Archer has 3 maybe 4 i frames dmg is unprotected and almost no cc spells. No blockjump nothing like wtf is this shit. I never played against a dk but looking at that video and watching dk i feel like that class needs big nerfs. I mean u cant punish her ever and she can always move. As an archer i cant i mean i can but then iam unprotected and also deal no dmg. Dk can do os you while being in and frontal guard and sa. Animations are so fast archer dmg animations take ages and i have like 3 viable cc spells. Like how unfair is this. Atleast give all classes euqal stuff and not make some classes have everything and others almost nothing. I just dont understand why PA does this like its obvious that if u cant punish a class when played correctly that its broken. I mean i love my archer but it seems like i should reroll to dk cause so many spells for s sa and fg while doing BIG AOE os dmg xDD hilarious class. But anyway VERY good video mate. Opened my eyes that some classes are just broken and other classes are shit and way to hard to play good.
it is difficult to get a grasp on class balancing because there are so many factors. definitely try dk out if you feel that archer isn’t working out. it’s pretty easy to pick up. the skill curve can be overshadowed by gear, but it is there. she’s in a pretty fair state in the grand meta stage atm!

DK is magic class and mystic and striker have high magic resist, so they can be called counter for DK
