It's a really capable Jeep. We went off-road in a Compass and we're surprised how well it took on the obstacles.

I hear what you’re saying but how can scraping the underside of any car be ok? The Range Rover has better clearance in “high” suspension mode. I didn’t hear anything about adjustable air suspension on the jeep (or am I wrong?)
This is just a wild guess, but I assume that the underside of the car has an additional protection layer so that when you hit the ground it isn't actually hitting any internal systems.
@@S-Asker Compass Trailhawk comes with standard skid plates and can be optioned with dealer-installed Mopar Rock Rails to use to skid over obstacles.
I have a 2018 compass trailhawk. I didn't buy a compass to take it 4 wheeling but how can jeep say it is "trail rated" when they put a street tire on it. Try to find an all terrain tire in a 215/65r17. There are so few options for a tire that size. Will void your warrant if you put any bigger tires on. even a half inch taller tire gives many more options.
If you change tyre size, you will make the vehicle sick and it's computers mad.
If you haven’t replaced the tires yet, Toyo Open Country AT3 comes in 215/65f17 OEM size.
Also compass is not that capable i was thinking to buy one, but i went offroading with a friend who has it and i changed my mind, its ground clearance is the main problem, no matter how much torque wheels have but when body is stuck coz of low ground clearance, one can buy compass for daily use but not for off roading

Jeep compass is not for India road conditions and traffic, stop/start does not work … the car stop in middle of the road … think over , sharing mu experience, yet waiting for resolution from Jeep service
So how can you call this trail rated when you can not even get a real trail tire for it? Don't get much response from jeep. they just say we will void your warranty if you put a bigger tire on it. 1500 miles on my 2018 trailhawk and I am ready to get rid of it.
