there are 3 extant portraits of Imperial Noble Consort Chunhui, both with Giuseppe Castiglione's involvement:
-2 closeup portraits in semi-formal attire (jifu)
-a full-length formal portrait (sheng'rong) in ceremonial formal attire (chaofu))
judge for yourself whether she's beautiful or otherwise
(one of the closeup portraits is part of a portrait compilation in scroll format that is currently in Cleveland, with Qianlong painted upon his accession in the first part and eleven members of the harem painted, yet both Step Empress & Consort Yu are missing; the other closeup portrait was auctioned in Bonhams and was part of the French loot of the Forbidden City; & the full-length formal portrait was auctioned in Sotheby's Hong Kong in 2015)
