I LOVE all the projects! That really was an uuuugly pumpkin, but you saved it. 😊 I bought metal corners from Temu and that was very cheap. I can't believe you had to pay so much for yours!
I might be able to find the smaller ones cheaper on Amazon, but I just got tired of looking, haha!! Oh well, the boards were free, so it all washes out in the end, right? :) Glad you liked the projects - thank you so much!! :)
The pumpkin blocks are definitely not something I would have thought to create but, Jeez-loueez: I really like them! 😀 And SOOO in love with the candle pillars. They look denim-ish & I am crushing on denim nowadays. Thanks for the video! ❤
Beautiful! The moody pumpkins are awesome! The ceramic pumpkin turned out nice, it would really look great with some delves around the stem (silk or moulds). I do love watching your videos.
Your flips always inspire me. I loved the last pumpkins you made and I love these. i have to get myself to the hardware store to buy some lumber and have them cut pieces for me. the remakes of the pumpkin and the candle holders looked so lovely.
Hi Rachel, The pumpkin blocks are AWESOME❣️ This idea is on my list for this fall. I feel the same way as you with the color blue. I like it but not at the top of my list. Always enjoy your content. Thank you 😊🐞
Well Rachel…believe it or not they are called candle spikes and you can buy them as replacements for whatever reason. I like you prefer them to be gone. I just so much enjoy watching you revitalize thrifted treasures. I’m not sure which visits I like more, thrift hauls or thrift flips but I do know I am always excited when you post because it will be well worth my time to peek in. Thanks for enlightening and entertaining us with your talent!!!:):):)
I 2nd that, l always look forward to Tuesday and Friday's to Rachel's video's. She is so down to earth, someone we could all share a cup of coffee ☕ with. 😊
Your wood pumpkins are gorgeous! They look so tasteful. The blue candlesticks are lovely! The blue pumpkin fits so well with the candlesticks. Enjoy your videos and look forward to watching them . 🤗
That dress is very pretty and a good color for you. I loved the candlesticks. The pumpkins were all great. Fall is my favorite time of year and those 3 projects could all be used in some beautiful fall decor. Wonderful job😊❤
I loved your projects as always 🥰 I think your pumpkin blocks were my favorite though. I really loved all the wood, metal, and knobs that you used because it really gave them so much character and interest!!!!
Hi Rachel!! I’m obsessed with your pumpkin blocks!! Loved the ones on previous video and although roses are totally different I love them also!! You should make a bunch more sets to put in your shop!! I’m like you too about blue😮 I think it’s bc it’s hard to find a good blue, love that bohemian blue on candle sticks!! Thanks for a creative video❤ Jeanne Baton Rouge 16:15
Lol .... It's not my favorite, but there are shades that I do love, lol. And I have painted a few pieces in those particular shades and really loved how they came out. :)
Hi Rachel… I love your videos, always a pleasure to watch. I noticed you use a gloss spray paint, wouldn’t it better to use a matte finish for better paint adhesion as I understood that glossy finishes are not ideal and should be roughed up or primed?
It's actually a satin finish which is as close to a flat finish that Rustoleum makes in the colors I like. They only seem to carry the matte (at least at my local Home Depot) in the black and the white unfortunately. And to be honest, I paint the base coat less for adhesion and more to have a desirable color under my paint anyway, so it doesn't really bother me too much. :)
I always love your projects, Rachel. I'm just getting started with paints that require sealing and I've tried to find this answer online, with no luck. It seems like from this video that you have a dedicated clear wax brush. Maybe you do for other color waxes, as well. But my question is -- do you clean your wax brushes in between uses? If so, soap and water? Mineral spirits? Something else? Thank you so much for responding.
I'm glad you liked the projects - thank you so much!! :) And to answer your question - I have one large brush that I use for clear and white wax, and another that I use specifically for dark and black waxes. When I don't need to use the large brushes on a project (like when I'm doing detail work on a piece), I just use whatever brush out of my stash that I think will do the job. I use mineral spirits for cleaning all of my brushes, and I keep my larger ones in containers with the brush tips in about a quarter inch of mineral spirits. One container for the clear wax brush and one for the dark wax brush. That is where I have stored them now for at least 4 years, and I just wring them out when I want to use them, dry them as best I can on a shop towel, and change out the spirits when they start getting yucky. :) I hope that makes sense!
@@theeclecticcottagespokane I am glad that debbiewroe asked that question. I have never thought about asking it but now I know how to care for my wax brushes. Thank you

I love the pumpkin blocks, but I think I would make them more pumpkin shaped. So elegant!
Glad you like them! Thank you!
Yes, I know they are pumpkin blocks, but they are so unique and beautiful each one could stand alone as year round decor.
I'm glad you think so!! :) Thank you!!
I think the same thing. We really like the antique looking things in our house.
The blue was truly beautiful on the risers !!! All of these were so pretty for fall🍂🍂🍂

Why are they called pumpkin blocks
Why are the boards called pumpkins?
The originals that I created several years ago looked much more like "pumpkins" but now they have just became my creative take on that original idea.
