i simultaneously hate and love rocknaldo on one hand, i love that as soon as he realizes he realizes his conspiracies took an offensive turn, he went full panic mode and was happy to be called out on the other hand. EVERYTHING ELSE
I hated the Rocknaldo episode. But I loved the Tiger Philanthropist episode. The fact that Amethyst didn't need wrestling to feel good about herself shows a lot of character growth.
The interaction steven has with ronaldo is very similar to me listening to ppl explain to me why they have negative opinions on lgbt ppl and not knowing my sexuality(bi). It literally happened today at work🙄😭
I once had someone announce in front of my face she was so relieved not to work with "all those queer ass kids" anymore. I'm pan. She'd just moved to my district.
Gotta love the little bit of light hearteness from these two eps after all the heavy stuff and the even heavier stuff to come. I love SU so much. It’s just getting good. I can’t wait for the next eps. This season is sooo good.
Yeah, really wish they’d written the episode as Ronaldo becoming like a low-danger recon guy for the Gems in the end, ACTUALLY helping their mission to protect Beach City against Homeworld. Would have also been symbolic as him being an “ally” since that’s where a lot of the show’s subtext is
This Ronaldo episode is the one that made pretty much everyone hate him. Like he was kind of annoying before but this was definitely his worst episode. Tiger philanthropist is ok. Fun little closure to an older story in the series.
OMG These episodes, these 2 are very boring I may be wrong, but I think this upload will have low interaction because of the episodes. I remember when the Steven Universe social media team posted a new gem, Bloodstone, and we all thought we were gonna get an actual Crystal Gem. Or at least see a new type of Gem. But we were so wrong
I personally enjoy tiger philanthropist. It shows a hint at just how much amethyst has grown and matured. I love every episode that has a focus on the brother-sister type bond between steven and amethyst

I think they’re pretty good because they get to show us the human side to Steven’s life whereas the gem related episodes shows us the gem side of his life. He’s half gem and half human after all. They also show how much Steven, and the characters he’s interacted with, has grown.
Him yelling "FUCK!" after Ronaldo asked "is that love" cracked me up 🤣

tiger philanthropist is actually one of my favorite non-gem focused episodes because it shows how ridiculously strong steven actually is
