I love how Archi Austria reacted to Loisa's house. Ganyan ang totoong professional. :) Nag ga-guide at Nag bibigay ng advice. Sobrang humble. ❤️
We should read between the lines, though. He did not talk much about the house. Kasi naniniwala sya na pag walang magandang sasabihin e quiet na lang. Subtle lang ang disapproval. Siguro dahil na rin sabi nga nya hindi nya alam ang dahilan bakit di naghire ng architect si Loisa. Kaya ayun nagsabi na lang sya ng mga dapat gawin pag magpapatayo ng bahay. Bottom line is, dapat talaga maghire ng professionals pag mga ganyan kasi for the safety of the people na titira sa bahay. I mean, hanggang ngayon inaantay pa rin natin ang sinasabi nilang "the big one". A well planned house has a higher chance of being safe during such disasters.

I'm an architecture dropped out, but I love architecture. I believe designers, architects, even fashion designers, etc. has this obligation to educate people/ buyers/ consumers, etc., the way this nice architect is doing/ sharing.

Ussually kase 10% of project cost ang complete sets of plans eh all in. Kaya hirap talaga kumuha ng designer.

Kasama na po dun sa 10% yung mga fees ng engrs and payment for permits. If im not mistaken.
10% kapag DAEDS, or pag kasama fees ng allied professionals. 6% kapag DADS, or purely architectural lang.
It's discouraging how underrated architects are on the present but knowing people like Ar. Llyan, being so passionate on educating people on the importance of Architecture as a science and art of designing and building structures, and who never fails to make Architecture look so cool, is so inspiring. We are all together in this battle of making our profession known, not for personal interest, but to provide real service in making our built environment to have a positive impact on people's physical, mental, social health and more.

It's because architects are only meant to design an aesthetic structure, while civil engineers and other professions could actually design the house as aesthetically as possible with out the need of an architect

Buti nlng nag hired kami ng professional Architect and Engineers 30 years na bahay namin pero swabe ang semento walang cracks kahit naka ilang lindol na kami andthe design sobrang maaliwalas and warm lang tignan. Meju may kamahalan ang bayad pero worth it!
GFCI's actually open at very low currents to prevent electrocution. Circuit breakers open at much higher currents and are actually designed to protect the house wiring and not the occupant or the appliance.
GFCI stands for ground fault current interupter which is different from circuit breaker
