5:52 Oh my gosh! That was me! ☺️ I’m new, so if you did talk about it, I hadn’t heard it. Yeah, it makes total sense that that’s your head-canon of just how Christmas is. :) 7:21 That’s funny. The rest of us are dreaming of a white Christmas, but in Australia they’re dreaming of a golfball-sized hailstorm Christmas. ;) You never said though- does it _ever_ snow in Australia? Even if not in Melbourne- anywhere? 16:37 No, I totally get it. Maybe it would’ve been awkward but I think I would’ve just asked “do you mind if I…?” because they’ll either say they don’t care or they’ll appreciate it. I was at a Halloween event in October and they had performers who would lurk around the park to scare you. There was one section where they were carnival performers and one of the guys was on stilts. I wanted to take a photo and I know this was too much but I asked him if it was okay. I’m not even the type who puts stuff on social media but I still wanted to ask. _He_ thought I meant one with myself in it (which he said they aren’t allowed to do) but I was like “no, just _of_ you” haha. 18:14 This is interesting to point out because that does inform some of my interactions with women. I feel much safer giving compliments to women about their hair or nails because I’m sort of assuming (and hoping) they’ll clock me as gay and will understand I don’t mean it in a creepy way. But I _do_ worry maybe they won’t. I usually refrain from it unless their look is just _too_ stunning (but if men have super stunning looks, I’ll say something to them too). Because even though I know there is a problem with people not understanding that for some people, unsolicited compliments are a huge no-no, I know there are people for whom those things can make their whole day. I personally _love_ an unsolicited compliment, haha, _but_ I’m not a woman who has to constantly put up with harassment. 19:19 I didn’t know that’s what you guys call it. In the US, we tend to call it Secret Santa (although, I have heard white elephant before). 20:59 Kmart is a thing in the US, but it’s hard to find nowadays and is not as ubiquitous as it used to be. Target is second to only Walmart for us. Never heard of the other one you mentioned.
Yeah It does snow in a couple of our different states, I at least know ski and snowboarding season is really popular in Victoria at least. I don't when know why we call it Kris Kringle, though we also call it secret santa and white elephant, I guess it is just what you grew up with. Funny how Kmart and Target are swapped in our countries.
Hooray
Hey, so great to see you back!
Have you been hanging out with americans lately? lol you've been saying a few words with an american accent.
We do vibe and we enjoy what we do here. I'll def see you in the next one. Good to see your face.
