Very informative, thank you. In my experience I have come across 2 horses with head shaking. The first one was due to a stag tooth causing pain near the bit and the second appeared to me as having suffered from unkind hands leading to the animal discovering that head shaking as a way to avoid control. In fact, so violent was the shaking the reins very often came over the head! An Irish martingale sorted that danger and sympathetic schooling the rest.
