My first new SLR. Took all my family photos with it while kids were growing up. Camera disappeared during a move. I eventually got an X-700, and later another X-370 as backup for the X-700. Never knew what the program lock switch was for. Now I know.
May be jammed, which can happen if you just bought it and had it shipped. Try lifting the rewind knob and pulling gently on the door on the side that opens.
