I am still hoping Skull Rock leads to a 2nd map expanding Dreamlight Valley to more biomes and doubles the size while also being a separate loading area so it doesn’t break the item limit.
@@roseboogie75 interesting. Getting more decoratabke areas definitely doesn’t factor into why I buy the dlcs. I’m in it for the new characters, story? resources, craftables. I’m excited to see new biomes but doesn’t factor into my buying or not.
Same! My plaza was kinda bare when I cleared it after the park season was over. I recently redid it. I’ll be rebuilding my theme park on the plaza island!
Love that the dev thing says 'will you put all your villains in one spot to keep an eye on them?' when you literally cant move multiple villain homes (jafar and mother gother i think?) and im pretty sure ursulas house has to be in the water so you cant put them all together for several reasons
@@VideoBeertje same. But I don't think so. They keep doing this mistakes 😂 like examples for DreamSnaps that shows avatars sitting, using tools, holding cups, rotated items, and we can't actually do that.😂😂
I'm very excited that they listened to us. I had quit the game because of the space issue. My entire game was fully decorated in each valley and it was infuriating to demolish sections of it weekly for Dreamsnaps. I had gotten to the point where I was just leaving it all up instead of redoing it weekly and my valley was a disorganized mess. For me, there was no reason to play the game anymore as looking at it gave me anxiety. There was also really no reason to do the Dreamsnaps because I got to the point where I didn't care anything about the premium items as they were really just another object for the Dreamsnaps. And I was EXTREMELY burned out on Dreamsnaps. This had turned into a game of nothing but Dreamsnaps. I'm still burnt out on Dreamsnaps but at least I shouldn't have to tear up my valleys as much now. I'm very excited about being able to angle items and HOPEFULLY they are working on free placement for the future! :)
I don't think so... It would be a problem for people playing on switch. I'm just fighting for planting multiple crops without have the game stuck every 4 crops. And my Valley have only the necessary to grind resources.😂 I mean, for switch CPU is hard to run the game, if you had more and more stuff to render it will be worst. When they add butterflies flying around my switch start lagging and crashing more frequently than before.
I can't wait for this...Villians are getting their own island will be top priority for me and i hope they dont forget houses for the ones who dont have one like Jafar🎉🎉🎉
Exactly what you said at around minute 7:40 is what I wish they had done, and what they would do. EXPAND the main map, ADD to it. The expacs and islands are good, but they are all side content with a limited lifepsan/use. I don't see the point in having 57 different maps if the main attraction is not gong to get bigger or changed.
Honestly I think this would be a perfect way for a switch players to play the game a lot better. Hopefully we get more floating islands so we can put our Villagers' houses all these things and decorate so we can do whatever we want to the Main Valley; especially if it's involved with quests that are involved with it.
Something that's always bothered me is that there's a shortcut between the beach and the forest, but not between the glade and the plateau. Running along the waterfall would be a cool visual, even.
The more I hear about the floating islands. The more excited I get. I feel like I have no room for decorating. Mainly because I'm too stubborn to change any of the main land and dlcs. So I'm happy to have a 'blank slate' on the floating islands we're getting.
@KaraMorassco - I'm the same. With very few exceptions, I have left the trees and as much of the original layouts as they were from the beginning of the game. I love the original layouts and want them to retain their integrity as much as possible with the main additions placing the characters' houses only where they will fit nicely and then running paths to join up the houses to wherever I have placed paths linking biomes. I even have angled paths to avoid the existing trees, etc., which will be fun to re-do when they eventually introduce curved paths.
I was planning to do 1 biome island as a farm but now that I find you can't have more than 4 ancient garden machines in any biome, i'll have a small farm probably in each island and some cool decorating themes. I'm hoping that when the big update for skull rock finally comes, they maybe add a whole land in that big area on east side of map with it so we get a cool new Peter Pan biome or something.
I’m worried about rendering distance and pop-ins as a Switch user. I have alot of the new flooring (Greek Mosaic Rug) in Mythopia and I get bad pop-ins within the same section.
I don't think they will expand the main valley map outside of the floating islands. They would have an entire system that wouldn't really be able to play it. I hope I'm worng, but I doubt Switch players will get that opportunity. Unless they did like a second layer map. Skull rock opens and it opens up a second layer of the map above type thing.
I'm for sure going to have a candy island and I am so excited! I really love all the candy themed things for Vanellope but I've been so upset that she's had nothing! I really want to make my own little candy land game inspired island maybe xP
Agreed, They already know that many of us want to make a villainous lair biome, they even suggested it with a question, it won’t work if Gothel and Jafar are stuck in their biomes, it would be incomplete.
So basically half the size of the Bind - that really doesn't seem very large when I'm stood in it but we will see 😊. Another content creator worked it out as being just over 3 houses wide so I'm a little confused lol.
I'm going to use them for like planning and see if I can put the my Orchard stuff up there so that I have those up there like I'm going to have a island for turn the islands for dreamlike Valley plants and storybook Veil plans
they are nice and everything but i have enough issue decorate the valley as it is so much items and time needed and have not even started on the dlc areas so for now i will not be getting these islands when they comes out
Aren't the path tiles 2x2 though not 1x1? I'd think that would mean it's half as large as you showed. I mean they may have meant 2x2 as a square but I'm wondering how that's going to work.
I just looked at the website and they've updated the announcement to say the islands will be roughly 130x130 squares each, so it will work out to the same size as what Serroh was trying to demonstrate, fortunately. 😊

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love this idea, I didn’t even think about that! 😍 Now I’m gonna be depressed if that’s not the case 😭
That would detract from the value of the DLC’s, which give us extra biomes. Not going to happen.

Honestly I could see it where Skull Rock is a hidden passage to new Biomes and Characters
@@LightSparkDaniel I am on that same mindset, myself. LOL
the plaza floating island is going to become my theme park with room for all the rides and concessions and my plaza is going to get a complete redo
Same! My plaza was kinda bare when I cleared it after the park season was over. I recently redid it. I’ll be rebuilding my theme park on the plaza island!
let's hope they eventually let us paint water and place bridges.
Yeeees THATS what I said
Thank you for breaking this down Serroh, its sure going to be how everyone uses the floating island to enhance their game play
I’m going to make a massive garden with ALL the seeds
I'm definitely going to have a special area for pumpkins on the Forgotten Lands Island
Oh yeah.

Oh this is really helpful!! It seemed small but seeing you map it out seems way bigger! Can’t wait, thanks for the great video
Thank you so much for watching
I think I’m gonna make some holiday islands so that I can have themed spaces for every holiday, Dream Snaps, etc. without having to take it all down 🎉
I have so many ideas floating in my head on how to decorate all 4 floating islands.
I’m very curious to see if I’ll be able to see these islands actually floating in the sky, and if I’d be able to see houses and decorations up there

floating island beach would probably just look like a desert unless they put water along all 4 sides outside the 65x65 workable space
The first picture of the floating islands was thec Plaza and it had 4 housesvp and Buzz rv with space for small yardss on a couple
Go enjoy your thanksgiving!

There kinda is though
@ChicagoMel23 where?
7:05, I certainly hope they'll someday add new Biomes or extensions of the current ones in areas where the void is clearly visible.
We need it so bad!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🦃🍁🍽
As a switch user I am really glad about these new floating ideas. I've managed to get to 80k dreamlight so far. Little bit every day.
Have a happy fun Thanksgiving everyone ❤😊

I think it implies we get the first island for free from unlocking the quest so we only need 45k to unlock the other 3
I may add a couple homes to an island so I can redo the meadow

I wonder if we will be able to sorta terraform the floating islands. Like add our own rivers or ponds.
I really hope so

FANTASTIC 🎉
Wonder if it will be like rooms where it can be reset for dreamsnaps
Are you sure the path you used is just 1 footprint to measure the size of the floating islands?
they are nice and everything but i have enough issue decorate the valley as it is so much items and time needed and have not even started on the dlc areas so for now i will not be getting these islands when they comes out
Considering we have more extra dream castle doors and star port i really Winnie the pooh and friends
If I do a cloud save account on my game where everything will be fine ❤
So now switch players have been admitting voting for low item "unclutteted"
