This is why I'm afraid to go back to a hairdresser. I've worked very hard to get my relaxed hair thick and thriving. I don't want any setbacks... I'm sorry you went through this. Keep up with your healthy routine, and I'm sure it will flourish back 😊

Hello. I've been your subscriber for 4 months now. I really want to know how you keep your hair dark because my new growth is always black but it becomes brownish after relaxing

Hey friend. First of all thank you for subscribing to our channel 💕
my hair looks dark normally, but on camera it look even darker than it is in real life.
So about your new growth looking brownish, how often do you relax your hair & how is it done? I guess not from roots to tip though,
Do you wash the relaxer from your hair properly about 2/3 times using a neutralizing/ clarifying shampoo?
it’s very Normal for some people to experience color change since Relaxers have a slight lightening effect & they break down protein bonds which is also where your pigment chills out. A lot of people experience this as well, so you’re not alone.
Some remedies would be to get a hair dye, 1/2 weeks after getting a relaxer for temporary jet black effect.
      P.s: I’m waiting on your reply 😊

Omg I'm so furious listening to what she did but i learned we are the best teachers for our hair. #1 your relaxer is under processed in a major way. I'd wait 8 weeks and do it again yourself then do a proper trim deary

Ahh if you’re furious just by listening to me, you can imagine how I felt, lol. Thank you so much for your comment & advice, it really mean a lot to me. Thank you 🙏🏽

Hi, Naomi like everyone here I'm sorry to hear about your horrible hair experience. I think we've all had them. Not all of us will agree on what you should do next. Overall your hair still looks great, ends are healthy. Yes you could get a major trim and start fresh once you've fixed the underprocessed relaxer but for me personally I'm patient with my knowing that if I maintain a good routine with washes, conditioning, low manipulation and conservative trims every 3months with touchups it will eventually flourish again and mine has. So do what's best for you, observe your hair and see how it's responding to your repair methods a go from there.

I understand, You did what you felt was necessary for the health of your hair in its present state. I know that had to be hard to do, but of course, it will grow back and that's the important thing. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Wishing you the best

Sorry dear... if at all there will be a next time always try to do a saloon- prep before visiting the saloon because 90percent of this people does not know what they're doing, honstly!!!... am a hairstylist myself and a TH-camr.

You’re so right. But honestly what’s purpose of a saloon? A lot of us just want to go in there and be pampered lol, like there are days I don’t even want to deal with my hair, I just want to pay someone to do it, but sadly there are only a few good hairstylist available and it’s difficult to find them because the bad ones are everywhere.
Thank you for comment, means a lot to me ❤️

Hello 👋 thank you for subscribing, means alot to me.
More content coming up soon. Please turn on post notification so you don’t miss any upload.
I typically stretch my relaxer for about 3months. But you should stretch for as long as your hair can handle okay.
