Just snagged up the Red Devil deal last night! Couldnt pass up the lowest price its ever been for brand new. Wont have to buy a new card for many years.
Got myself the Red devil 7900gre a while back on a really fast "flash sale" one 3am when I was doom scrolling 😁😁 but genuinely think it was a typo mistake by the amazon lister because it was gone as soon as it came like in 1.5 - 2 days or so. And according to camel camel camel price charts on the R.D 7900gre my timing was very close to the 2nd lowest price point on this gpu card (some lucky bastards got it for ~$529ish 😥😥😥😥it should of been me!!!!!!) but still. I think god has a weird way of testing me cause the day the return window for that gpu was coming to close it landed SQUARELY in the middle of prime day. So I was looking at asrock 7900xt drolling all over but had to lock myself in with the "bro you already got a nice deal on the gre sure the xt is an upgrade but its an upgrade at regular pricing which was still a lot more even with the prime sales cut + taxes and shipping" I still have a VERY very tiny semi regret not swapping but it was fate probably.
Coming from a 1070, I pulled the trigger on a XFX 7900xt for $650 at Best Buy. Grabbed the Newegg 7600x + free 1tb ssd. Gonna be my first pc build. I’m very nervous.

I went with the Seagate FireCuda 530R 2TB. No heat sink with SSD, but I think I don’t need one? This will be the only SSD in my build and I have the MSI B650 ATX Tomahawk as the motherboard.

I bought the asrock 7800xt gpu. I wanted an x3d cpu but I waited too long and now the scalpers have jacked the 7800x3d up in price. I settled for the 9700x.
@ScatterVolt It's not worth it to me in travel time and fuel. I live too far away from the nearest microcenter to justify. Maybe for the 9800x3d, but even then, I'd be hard pressed to justify the travel expense.

I am rocking my new I5 12400F and Gigabyte B760M Gaming X DDR4 Motherboard with my Zotac RTX 3050 Twin Edge OC 8GB GDDR6 and I am getting 0% bottlenecking. Even dota 2 and cs 2 I get 0 bottlenecking even in comp settings. Almost running this pc for 1 week. The max power draw I saw on the I5 12400F was 63W(I even tested it in Cinebench 2024 and CPU-Z) and max temp in a 23C room temperature was 50C.
wish tax wasnt such an issue. i would of picked up the 7900gre if it wasnt for tax. price difference between 7800xt and a gre is about $100 when tax is applied. i'll gladly still take my 7800xt. im coming from a really strong 1080p pc, but i wanna switch to 1440p for gaming. everything is much clearer in 1440p. going from a 5600 + 6700xt to a ryzen 5 7500f + 7800xt. just upgraded now so i dont have to in the future.
There was a deal with the cooler master hyper 212 spectrum for $10 on amazon which I picked up for the my AMD 7500F CPU. Then, just for "haha", I added an additional corsair fan for $12 for a little extra CPU cooling.

I reluctantly snagged an msi 4070 ti super expert from Newegg after learning more about the 5070 lineup and its less than stellar performance increase, I'm also fearful about the potential cost increased when Trump takes office with imposed tariffs from China.
I haven't quite hit those talking points home but tomorrow's video will definitely be touching on possible disappointing rtx 5000/rx 8000 performance (at least not for the 5090) and possible incoming us tariffs.

At least that's my understanding of it but regardless most components are made in other countries like china and vietnam anyway. Nvidia may be an American company but their products are manufactured outside of the US

I disagree. It should fit in most mATX pc cases unless you’re using the super cheap ones that are very narrow & small, which I wouldn’t recommend getting those cases anyway

I watched your video on Best Budget PC Cases from 2023 and all of the mATX cases in your SS, S, and A tier only support the 340mm GPU if you remove the front fans which wouldn't be practical for looks or airflow. To be fair that video is probably outdated but I am curious as to what other cases there are that would fit the 6800. I originally wanted this GPU but may just spend a little extra for the 7700xt since I personally can't find a solid mATX case in a reasonable budget that supports a GPU of that size. I just bought the windforce for just 10$ more at microcenter but figured I'd see if I should instead swap it for this deal (for performance/temp/etc) before I do my build. Increase anti-aliasing in whatever pc game your playing, no matter if it's AMD, Nvidia, or an Intel GPU.

I am rocking my new I5 12400F and Gigabyte B760M Gaming X DDR4 Motherboard with my Zotac RTX 3050 Twin Edge OC 8GB GDDR6 and I am getting 0% bottlenecking. Even dota 2 and cs 2 I get 0 bottlenecking even in comp settings. Almost running this pc for 1 week. The max power draw I saw on the I5 12400F was 63W(I even tested it in Cinebench 2024 and CPU-Z) and max temp in a 23C room temperature was 50C.
7700x seems to be the sweet spot for me. Only use my PC for gaming and watching videos on chrome. No professional work

wish tax wasnt such an issue. i would of picked up the 7900gre if it wasnt for tax. price difference between 7800xt and a gre is about $100 when tax is applied. i'll gladly still take my 7800xt. im coming from a really strong 1080p pc, but i wanna switch to 1440p for gaming. everything is much clearer in 1440p. going from a 5600 + 6700xt to a ryzen 5 7500f + 7800xt. just upgraded now so i dont have to in the future.
Fyi the MSI X670E mobo is actually $190 through newegg when you use their combo builder

Took me a bit to find something worthwhile but realized I could grab a 1 tb SN850x for $75 to complete the "combo"
There was a deal with the cooler master hyper 212 spectrum for $10 on amazon which I picked up for the my AMD 7500F CPU. Then, just for "haha", I added an additional corsair fan for $12 for a little extra CPU cooling.
Dang paid $278.88 from Amazon on October 26th for the 7800G. Works good in a mini ITX MB.

I reluctantly snagged an msi 4070 ti super expert from Newegg after learning more about the 5070 lineup and its less than stellar performance increase, I'm also fearful about the potential cost increased when Trump takes office with imposed tariffs from China.
I haven't quite hit those talking points home but tomorrow's video will definitely be touching on possible disappointing rtx 5000/rx 8000 performance (at least not for the 5090) and possible incoming us tariffs.

At least that's my understanding of it but regardless most components are made in other countries like china and vietnam anyway. Nvidia may be an American company but their products are manufactured outside of the US

I disagree. It should fit in most mATX pc cases unless you’re using the super cheap ones that are very narrow & small, which I wouldn’t recommend getting those cases anyway

I watched your video on Best Budget PC Cases from 2023 and all of the mATX cases in your SS, S, and A tier only support the 340mm GPU if you remove the front fans which wouldn't be practical for looks or airflow. To be fair that video is probably outdated but I am curious as to what other cases there are that would fit the 6800. I originally wanted this GPU but may just spend a little extra for the 7700xt since I personally can't find a solid mATX case in a reasonable budget that supports a GPU of that size. Anyone happen to know if that Asus Prime 4070 Super is any better than the Gigabyte RTX 4070 Super Windforce OC? I just bought the windforce for just 10$ more at microcenter but figured I'd see if I should instead swap it for this deal (for performance/temp/etc) before I do my build. I am using an Asus MOBO (Tuf Gaming B650-E Wifi) in case that is a factor.
