Is anyone else happy that Neve is so particular about what they do with her character? I appreciate that as an actress she knows how loved her character is and she knows exactly what is and is not acceptable for that character.

The cast members didn’t have the same punch when they died as the legacy characters do. I personally didn’t care nearly as much about them. I hope in Scream 6 we’ll see more of her… but we’ll see how it goes.
Neve has had the gift of hindsight. She's seen what Friday the 13th did to Alice, Halloween 5 with Rachel and Halloween 6 with Jamie. Nightmare 3 with Nancy. Nightmare 5 with Dan.
So on my second rewatch i noticed that during the fight between ghostface and dewey. When he first shoots ghostface while they are fighting you see blood splatter out. Yet you dont see any injury on amber. She def would be showing signs of having been shot.
I noticed when everyone is at the Meeks' house talking about possible suspects and Liv asks who Stu Macher was, Dewey does say "He's (IS) Billy Loomis' accomplice. A real Looney Tune." Not, "WAS" in both sentences. He never referred to Stu in the past tense. Also calling him a Looney Tune can imply he could've gotten off by means of insanity or at least not get the death penalty. That unused photo of Stu's body has to be from Stab. Pants, shoes, and hand placement being wrong feels like a dead giveaway.
The fact they're going to Canada to film implies this next SCREAM will be even MORE rural than Woodsboro. Lots of forests, grandiouse lakes, cabins...even less access to people and safety. We can also expect a bigger budget and crazier effects/body count since the studio will be saving money.

Agreed. Just saw the movie today on Amazon and that's what I thought about Stu. This movie could've included him, But there's still enough story to include Stu being behind everything from Scream 2 through the next one (Scream Kills) for final one, The Scream Ends

This isn’t about the features, but more of a “meta” aspect that I don’t believe has been brought up. Dylan Minette (Wes) is in a band called The Wallows. Not only does their song “I Don’t Want to Talk” play during the closing credits, but they also have a song called “1980’s Horror Film”, which is inspired by “Halloween 4”, and the “Halloween” franchise is obvious an influence and mentioned a lot. Side note: There’s a character named “Wes” and a “Carpenter” family? Why wasn’t there a “Wes Carpenter”? 😝

The disappointing thing about the behind the scenes om scream 5 2022 and would've been cool if they did a segment on how they came about doing the Billy Loomis flashbacks hallucinations scenes with Skeet Ulrich . Kinda like they included how they did the Dr Loomis halloween night in 1978 flashback in the Halloween kills special features dvd and bluray. ..I mean common really that's a diss to us fans by not including or even discussing the Skeet ulrich Billy Loomis cameos which goes back to scream 96. If they truly were honoring the 25th anniversary I'd think they'd atleast include a special features segment where they talk about the Skeet ulrich scenes reprising his scream 96 role as the killer. And o yea another cool thing they missed and didn't discuss or mention was how they recreated the Stu Machker house from the original Scream 96 film and how they built it on a Soundstage to resemble the real stu scream 96 house located in Santa Rosa Norttern California...It's very disappointing that they missed those 2 big major things that were big deals to all scream fans and I'm sure us fans I know like me for instance were very curious and looked forward to seeing a segment on the home video dvd bluray release special features a highlight of the making of those 2 things which were the iconic Scream 96 Stu house and recreating Skeet Ulrich to make him look like how his character appeared in the original Craven 96 scream film. Another last one I just thought of was maybe a small segment interview with the iconic voice of ghostface Mr. ROGER JACKSON. It seems like they got lazy with bonus features included on blurays and dvds nowadays compared to how dvd and bluray special features used to do alot in depth behind the scenes bloopers hag reels alternate openings and endings ..etc..I miss when they released horror dvd n bluray s of a just released on video movie that u anticipated on for special extra cool features that maybe u as a fan were curious about or wanted to see on how they made a certain section special effects vt8 a scene u may have liked or was a big major highlight of the film ..example like the halloween kills showed how they did Dr. Loomis and what went through to recreate Donald pleasence character for Dr Loomis . Scream 6 should totally be about Roman finding out Mareen wants nothing to do with him and Roman showing Billy Loomis the video of his mom and Billy recruiting Stu into murdering Mareen Prescott and framing Cotton and they should show us all the in's and outs of what Billy and Stu did all the way up until the moment Billy and Stu call Casey Becker. That would be absolutely awesome!!!
They said she was at the party with all the alumni of Scream during the toast to Wes and they mentioned her in the easter egg part of the commentary but nothing substantial.

I had a feeling wes's reaction was real but they shouldn't have killed him and I don't think he's dead the way the knife went through he had possibly could have killed him but possibly still alive never showed his body that I know of
As much as I disliked this movie, I'm still looking forward to the next one. Why? Because while I feel this movie fell apart in the 3rd act, and I wasn't a super fan of the Billy Loomis angle, this movie was made with such love and care that I'm actually excited at the prospect of this crew making a truly well written Scream film.
The Billy Loomis angle was the only thing good about this movie other than the screen time we got with Dewey and Judy. Wes could have further developed his relationship with his mom, maybe show off that she doesn't want her son hanging out with these people during a possible serial killer attack. Vince could have been a cool character with more of a backstory, the twins were unneeded and felt one dimensional. Sam was only interesting because of Billy, everyone else felt like they were just "there". Also giving the killer away in the first 5 minutes is just plain stupid of the writers. It took 2 writers to spoil the killer reveal in 5 minutes.

I was pulled out of the movie because I kept thinking, "man, they better be able to pull this off and earn this". And then they proceeded to not earn it. It actually had zero impact on the story whatsoever. If they had waited until the third act or the very end to reveal it, and if they had tied it to a killers motive (Amber should have been Stu's niece and she could blame Billy for convincing Stu to join him, ultimately destroying her family.... or some bullshit like that) then it all would have tied together. We could have kept Jack Quaid's toxic fandom motive, because he did a great job making me believe it, but given Amber a personal stake in the game. Instead, it felt like a cheap way to write in a Skeet Ulrich cameo. This ends my pointless rant.

100% agree. Stu was great, but not one mention of him being alive in 4 movies.
Scream 5 was a dumpster fire.
